She's done mostly documentaries it looks like, with most non-fiction being a few T.V. episodes. The non-fiction movies are Bollywood ones.

This is why I doubt more than one of these movies ever gets made. I can see James Mangold's Jedi origin movie making it to the big screen, but I feel like Filoni's and Obaid-Chinoy's projects are less likely to ever see the light of day. And Mangold's project's future might depend heavily on the performance of Indiana Jones 5. If it flops hard he might end up being taken off the project.
Kathleen Kennedy has gone on stage and announced at least 12 new Star Wars movies that ended up never going into production. Her tenure at Lucasfilm has been nothing short of disastrous for that very reason, but she can't be fired because her name commands too much respect in the industry. The political fallout would be too great to handle, even for Disney.

I have no stats to back up what I'm about to say, but you dont either, so who gives a frick. I think you're way off when you say that there isnt a majority of people, and a majority of ACTUAL STAR WARS FANS, who hate and dont want this new shite. I think there is a huge percentage, WELL over half, who hate what has become of Star Wars. The problem is that there are SO MANY Star Wars fans, new and old, that even the minority who actually like all this horseshite that they're putting out is enough for them to keep making a profit. Steady profits + glowing reviews gushing all over these women for their BOLDNESS and VISION from a sycophantic media is why they keep churning it out. They could easily be making b-b-b-b-BILLIONS more if they just made solid, old school Star Wars content.

That all these various stupid sounding movies are even being discussed and announced in the first place is a strong symptom of the complete lack of a coherent vision with Star Wars. They just keep throwing shite out there to see what sticks.

“It was a pretty straightforward phone call,” Kennedy said about asking Ridley to attend Star Wars Celebration. “I started out by just saying, ‘Hey, I think we’re getting near being ready.’ We’ve been talking a lot about what we’re doing in the movie space and I said, ‘I think we’re getting close to being ready. How would you like to go to Celebration?’ That was really the beginning of it. She was out of her mind excited.”
