So the new theory going around is that it wasn't really Will coming out to everyone, it was Vecna...
They are citing a comment that was made about riding bikes to get milkshakes and the place that is referenced Melvads, where Joyce works... Its a general store in current time, but back when Henry was in school with Joyce in the stranger things broadway play, it was a old school soda shop/pharmacy.
So theory is he was the one speaking. Guess Will's not really gay

this season has not been that bad.
Agree. I think a few bad things seem to be overshadowing the good. Some real high highs with some pretty low lows.

That would’ve an even dumber plot twist than Will be gay.
Just own you’re woke writing and finish the damn show.

Well if true, wouldn’t someone in the room, especially Joyce have said “umm, we don’t have milkshakes at Melvids”

Every theory has been wrong so far

Looks like Macintosh and all the Indian bots got a hold of IMDB
Episode 7 of Stranger Things S5 got the most 1-star (lowest) ratings in these countries:
Saudi Arabia: 68%
US: 37%
UK: 29%
Brazil: 29%
India: 16%

Let's nail the ending so I can place this in my top 5 with the likes of the Wire, Breaking Bad/BCS, Sopranos, Scrubs
FWIW, Scrubs might be my favorite show of all time. Or it's up there at least. They absolutely nailed the original ending. But then they just had go back and ruin it with that Medical School season that was sort of spin-off/sort-of-not.

because every episode in season 5 has been great except for 8 minutes in episode 7
You’re fighting hard with this but nobody is buying.
I wanted this season to be great, but at best, it has just been ok. Not even factoring in the ridiculous gayness giving powers and coming out scene. Just overall it is very hit or miss.
All of that being said, I hope they nail the landing. That will make up for a lot of bad and lazy writing we have gotten so far this season.

You can bitch about the 10 minute coming out scene, but it at least killed the whole Will-Mike speculation.

That was one of the best ending for a series finale of all time.
To be fair that was an entirely different show. ABC just made them use the scrubs name. If you go back and watch the spin off again its really not that bad. It's not season 1-8 of scrubs though.
Been seeing commercials for the new Scrubs coming in February

It was weird because it was such a sudden decision/turnaround. That Med School season was released in the same calendar year as the original finale.

Yeah, I'm glad they're bringing as much of the OG cast back as could be expected I guess. We'll see how it goes. Reboots always scare me. And I worry that a lot of the humor/jokes that worked for the original run Scrubs wouldn't work with a "modern audience." But, don't want to talk about it too much in a Stranger Things thread.

Does Linda Hamilton do another topless scene? :finger crossed:

I actually want to give her some props for being completely opposite from every other woman in Hollywood and actually aging gracefully and not destroying her face with plastic surgery. It’s almost shocking to see an older woman in Hollywood with wrinkles. Normally someone her age has their forehead stretched and tied to the back of their head.

Season 5
Episode 1 - 8.5 a little slow out the gate but that’s what first episodes do to get you ready for the rest of the season.
Episode 2 - 9.0 - fantastic opening scene. Great episode. Holly shines. Screams 80’s rainbow brite. Little red riding hood
Episode 3- 9.3 probably the most fun episode of the season. Frank Darabont really put his stamp on this episode. This is why we watch television.
Episode 4 - 9.8 - top 4 episode of the series. Holy shite. The ending was fricking amazing. Pure cinema
Episode 5 - 9.0 - learning more about Henry and the other worlds. The ending with Will getting under vecnas power was one of the best moments of the season. If you can hear this MAX Run. RUNNN. Great name for the episode. Shock Jock
Episode 6 - 9.3 Murray and the our favorite science teacher had a great early scene. Luckily Erika couldn’t ruin it. We learned more about the upside down.Glad Jonathon and Nancy broke up. They made Robin so unattractive in S04 and S05. Very emotional ending. Shawn levy directed another fantastic episode. Holly and Max are so fricking good.
Episode 7 - great opening scene. Always great to have Murray and the science teacher on screen. OMG major props to the writers. Not many people know this outside of Reggie Miller and Pacer fans but in 1987 there was this massive meltdown because the pacers shunned its local hero/phenom Steve Alford and took this kid named Reggie Miller who was booed when they drafted him. Reggie became the greatest Pacer to ever live. That scene in itself makes this episode a success so far. I even knew reggie went 4-6 from the field with 10 points his first game in the NBA. That scene in itself cancels out all of this queer/woke stuff.
Linda Hamilton might be the most useless new cast member. I do agree there are just too many main characters at this point. This was the worst episode of the season.
WOW. That was one of the worst scenes in tv history. Woke liberals will ruin everything. Why the frick would they think that was a good idea. Luckily that's all it was a moment. A 5 minute embarrassing moment out of 46 total hours.
That scene alone losses a letter grade. Without that scene the episode would be just ok.
7.4 out of 10.
overall 8.9 out of 10 so far

It's pretty telling of why IMDb isn't always reliable. While there are problems with episode 7 I can bet a large majority of the Saudi voters only hated it for one reason
Posted on 12/30/25 at 10:35 pm to Lanelsu83
I’m not sure there’s a more frustrating scene in recent tv history than Max giving Holly a 15 minute speech right by the window to get out. Holy shite I almost fast forwarded
Even after they part ways they just walk for 50 yards?
fricking run immediately
