Yeah, Holly literally almost just escaped from there, but there is no way anyone could get there. They had how many years to come up with this final episode and this is the best they could do? The final season and final episode weren't awful, but definitely not great. This entire final season should have been three extra episodes at the end of season 4. Sooo much filler.

Yeah. I think I’m leaning this way too. Because Kali was in the lab when it blew up. Even if she was still alive, it blew before the hole was blown in the wormhole. So don’t think she could have been there to do the “trick” Mike was hoping for. Idk.

If the group needed a beanstalk to get to the Abyss, how did Vecna and all the Demo’s get back and forth from the abyss?

I assumed the demo's climbed the wall. When Steve and crew were tracking the one they shot with the tracker it led them to the wall. So I figured they must've been climbing up and down it. Vecna? I was wondering that as well. I doubt he was climbing the wall.

There's a Stranger Things broadway play that's actually canon. During WW2, the US government was experimenting with teleportation and "accidentally" teleported a ship to Dimension X. Dr Brenner's dad was on the ship and I assume he brought the rock back (everyone else on the ship died I guess).
He was taken to the lab in 1959 right after murdering his mom and sister.

I hated the ending except for Hopper and Joyce moving to Montauk. Nice little nod to the original name and setting of the series.

Casting of Linda Hamilton was pretty worthless.

Bats could fly back, demos were always shown the ability to open gates at will. So they might could do the same in the upside down to get back to X.

Also agree with whoever said they expected El to go super nova and bring something new, I get they wanted it to be a team up and give everyone something to do….but considering the build I thought you could have had them buy her time until she leveled up

Oh well, a disappointing end to an above average show. Lots of potential, especially with a lot of the fan theories that just didn't come to fruition.
