The big reveal is the main character is gay???

Are you shitting me??

Never watching another Netflix show. That was the GOAT awkward cringe put-in-for-no-reason scene ever grafted into a show ever.

We still love you little scamp !!

Barf barf barf

Netflix sucks a giant flaccid cock

ETA and I've never seen child actors age as poorly as these from season 1 to now. Ugliest cast ever. I feel zero connection to any of them whatsoever including that piece of shite that was married to Lily Allen.

I was satisfied--albeit, poorly---with the final season and the conclusion of the story.

Anyways, I'm glad it's over. I did like it some.

Seems to be a pretty consistent opinion. Kind of how I felt. It was by far the worst season for me but it wasn't Game of Thrones destroy the series bad.

Some laughably bad writing moments throughout the season which held it back from being really enjoyable like previous seasons.

I think Eleven is dead and Mike was coping poorly with her death, which is very reflective of kids from the 1980s. Don't address your trauma; bury it down. I can live with what I saw, but I'll always feel it could have been better.

That and the final scene with the kids running in and playing D&D is probably my favorite part of the season. Felt like it was a very fitting and wholesome end. Walking up and looking down the basement steps was an A+ final scene for me but plenty of people weren't crazy about that scene though. Never thought about Mike burying the trauma as being a very 80's thing but you're right.

They have to be trolling at this point.

Interdimensional body snatcher space monster who snaps people in 2 and leading an army of space creatures to destroy the Earth decided that the worst thing in the world is to tell his arch rival that if he confesses he's gay his friends will desert him leaving him paralyzed with fear for 5 seasons.

It's exactly what Hollywood writers would want when daydreaming about how they can socially influence their audience.

It seems barely anyone writes for storytelling anymore. It's all profit margins and social justice.

The making of the show documentary was put out today on netflix
Didn't realize Weta in New Zealand did the visual effects this season. Fantastic just like on Lord of Rings.

Started season 5 over last week. First 2 episodes were just as great as I remember. This show will only become more popular and generational as time goes on and more people find out about it.

I Wonder if we will ever get a transcendent show like stranger things again. Might take decades. The music, the nostalgia, the story, the environment, the kids, the 80’s era. I haven’t felt like that from a pilot since watching Boy Meets world for the first time in 93 and scrubs in 2001 etc.

Doubtful.

As a "child of the 80s" (middle school, high school and college), it seems that group is way more nostalgic than other generations/decades.

I've seen snippets posted out there... They didn't have the finale written when they went into start of production for the season? And they didn't even have the script finalized when they started shooting ep8?

WTF?

Well things make a lot more sense now if that is true.

same with shows like lost and breaking bad and the wire. This is normal. Stop reading reddit

Vince Gilligan didn't have an idea how to end Breaking Bad when they aired season 5 ep 1. Social media has truly fried some of y'all's brains.

This is even more impressive since they landed the finale. They had the ending mapped out from the beginning with the kids in the basement playing D&D and they knew 11 wasn't gonna be there.

I figured most couldn't enjoy this documentary. Just pick a part every little fricking thing they could to lead into their miserable lives.

Wow did you see the way holly carried around those plates at the beginning of the documentary. That's not the way season 4 Holly would have. Yuge plot hole. Lowering my overall score now

Hasn't this been pretty normal for them? There's past interviews where they mentioned filming halfway through season 2 and they still hadn't written the second half.

I might now drop Breaking Bad because of this. Vince didn't have season 1 mapped out either and wanted to Kill Jessie in the first season.

you would have complained with any ending. Tell us how you would have ended so we could make fun of you. I'm sure you won't because you're just here to complain.

3 downvotes just finding out that breaking bad didn't have a ending or beginning picked out. Yikes

That's what I thought.

You came here just to complain with no solution's. You remind me of the unemployed woman who drove to Minnesota

Can't beleive this board now hates Vince G and breaking bad
