Im only looking forward to seeing how Leto portrays as the Joker. Best case scenario we get a couple more movies with him as the Joker.

The Other is who was bossing around Loki for Thanos in The Avengers.

He is killed by Ronan while Thanos watches on in GotG.

Thanos is the one collecting the infinity stones and has been set up as a the Avengers eventual antagonist over several movies.

I'm more confident in that film than either WW or JL.

As am I.

But truth be told.

I just want a fricking trilogy that starts with Dick Grayson as Robin and ends with him as Nightwing.

1st movie: Batman and Grayson, ending with Grayson going out on his own

2nd movie: Batman and Todd ending with Joker "killing" Todd and Batman "killing" Joker

3rd movie: Batman and Nightwing v Todd and Joker

As I said before:

Leto is revealed to be Todd. And Hamil playing an older Joker thought dead comes out of retirement to torture, show up, and sickly mentor him in his own way.

Batman teams up with Nightwing to take down Joker and Todd

You could have Leto lure Batman into Arkham assylem and once locked inside, have Hamil do the Joker voice over the PA system tormenting Batman throughout the movie.

ETA:

My original post:

quote:

He is the absolute best Joker of all time and I would have no problem with him as a live action Joker. He'd be amazing as an older Joker in a dark movie.

Leto is revealed as Jason Todd when the long thought dead Joker, played by Mark Hamill, comes out of retirement and fricks Gotham into the ground before Batman has a chance to stop him would make for an amazing movie.

The only chance Batman has to stop him is to reluctantly accept the help of his old friend and protégé Dick Grayson, who has been fighting crime on his own for years.

You get the relationship of Joker to Todd and the relationship of Wayne to Grayson and finally a solid Nightwing character.

Damn, I must be completely out of touch. I thought BvS (especially the Ultimate Edition) was a good movie and GotG was an embarrassing cheese fest

Agree 100%. GOTG was a fun sunday afternoon movie, but nowhere near as good as people on here make it out to be.

one scene versus the entire plot structure is just slightly different.

It was astonishing. I love that Caville is next to him giving his rehearsed speech blabbing on, and Affleck is so sad he can't even bring himself to say a word.

The presence of Will Smith in this movie is probably what is really hurting it. His character is not that intriguing in the first place and shouldn't be the focal point. So when I see negative reviews stating "they just walk around and shoot people" in the jumbled third act - that SCREAMS Will Smith's character (Dead Shot) overly infecting the movie.

Will Smith = these days

The plot structures are pretty similar when it comes down to how Thanos and The Other are used in The Avengers and GotG though.

In both Thanos is using the film's main big bad for his own goals. He simply has a more expanded role in GotG. The only real difference between the two is Loki remained loyal out of fear while Ronan's religious zealotry caused him to attempt to take power for himself which caused Thanos to be more involved.

A common occurrence with Marvel films.

"Guardians of the Galaxy established a tone for each of it's characters and stayed with it the entire film. A few serious moments, yes, but it was just fresh and fun. The jokes were hilarious as well."

See, to me they weren't. Where Deadpool hit on almost every joke and the tone was pitch perfect, GotG just seemed forced, corny and try hard.

I liked Deadpool and AntMan more than GotG. I liked it, but I just thought the other two were funnier. I can understand why people like GotG, though. It has mass appeal. Kids, adults, anybody can easily enjoy it.

Guardians of the Galaxy did a great job of taking characters that most people had never heard of before and making us care about their exploits.

I just don't get the feeling that we're going to give a damn about any of these Suicide Squad characters. Let's be honest, Harley Quinn is kind of an annoying character that works in small doses as a sidekick/foil to the Joker. She's not nearly an interesting enough character, as the fanboys and fangirls would suggest, to be at the forefront of a movie like this.

As long as Joker is cool...ill be fine. I wasn't expecting much out of this movie. I just hope Leto's Joker is decent. He's the only reason I'm going to see it.

There shouldn't be much hope left for DC. They are shitting the can epically

For those waiting on Jeremy Jahns' review, it's up. He loves it. Said "It's a fricking awesome movie.":
