I think she did it to see the reactions of people... to determine if she should play her idol too.

Only thing that makes sense to me.

shows the other players that she knows they are looking at her. also, saves the idol for future use since no one knows she has it. Also, I'm guessing someone on the inside told her how the vote was going to go. Risky but, it worked.

And this is why the all female alliance never works. They've been talking about it for weeks but, 3 of the last 4 voted out were female. They just can't help themselves.

And, Jeff isn't allowed to say " come on in , guys" because it offends 0.00000001% of people but, they can have both a female AND a male immunity winner?

I think this was the first white person to get voted out since the first vote

Also... now that they know she has used it, she becomes a bigger target and she can set up playing her idol next time to blindside someone.

That's 3D chess, and maybe giving her too much credit. I really think she was using it to see if people would drop their poker face.

Yes, like others have said, I think she was going to see the reactions of the others, and if there was a big, "oh crap" type of reaction, she would have played her idol. That's what it seemed like, the way she was looking around at everyone. There wasn't too much of a reaction, so she had a pretty good bet she was safe.
Her vote didn't really matter anyway, she saved her idol, and still no one knows about it. Pretty good way to play the situation, it seems.

I suspect Sol filled her in on the plan to vote out either Sierra or Sam.

By playing her shot in the dark, she lost her vote which was a good thing as it prevented her from having to vote out either of her allies, Sam or Sierra, who would then become the first member of the jury. Also, it kept her from dumping a vote on someone else that she would then have pissed off moving forward next week.

It was a calculated move.

This is considered a game show and falls within all those rules. Based on Jeff's podcast, they have compliance folks around all the time and there is a lot of emphasis based on it being fair. I do not believe this happens.

Andy is an idiot. Walked past several bamboo money containers. He needs to go because he is stupid.

I really want Andy to get the Rome treatment. At least Rome was actually doing some things in the game to get the big head.

And the one guy who got nothing to eat. The guy who damned near quit in the first episode. He almost outlasts Kyle in the comp? I don't get it.

Kyle was probably fighting off a bad case of bubblegut after eating those wings.

First thing that I think about after rewards. I like to think if it were me, I’d pass on things like dairy or heavy foods that would make me miserable having not eaten for weeks…but idk…wings or a burger + beer would be hard to pass on. Sol got the best deal with $60 chips. Think that’s what I’d really want - salty carbs. Chips and guacamole is a good one too.

I’m not super familiar with how the auction used to work, but they need to change it a bit so it’s not just running down the list from most money to least money buying things.

Overall, another great episode. My boy Sol getting some agency in the game. Rachel with a smart move to play that shot in the dark.

I think they implemented that because the auctions were getting to a point where nobody bid on anything until an advantage came out. So, they swung from one issue to another.
