Batman walking so nonchalantly as he's getting shot in the chest with machine guns is a bit ridiculous.

It reminded me of something you would see in the comic. A lot of shots did actually.

I think it's the best Batmobile since the Adam West's. I was never a fan of Burton's penis-mobile with the clitoris grill. And Nolan's vehicle was an assault vehicle more than a car.

The physics of Iron Man absorbing the shock of machine gun fire and rocket blasts is equally ridiculous, but it looks cool as hell.

There’s always going to be some degree of action in Batman movies and rightfully so. There was plenty of action in that trailer. But whereas the action seemed to drive the Nolan movies, and all the others as well, this one seems to be driven moreso by the whodunnit aspects while the action props that up. TDK got the closest to an actual whodunnit but it still wasn’t because you knew who was doing it the whole time, it was just that the story was the best out of all the Batman movies and people were shocked Batman could be more than just splosions and action

I think that’s what people mean when they want a more detective Batman story. Something that keeps you guessing, twists and turns, with some action as well but with a whodunnit as the most important aspect of the movie. It’s riskier than doing what’s normally expected of a Batman movie, but it could also be the best iteration we’ve gotten and based on the reactions to the trailer, most people agree

Yes. But I refuse to believe that people wouldn’t watch a detective story starring the Dark Knight. There will always be violence in Batman stories. It’s part of what sets him apart from a cop. Batman can cross the line and dispense his form of justice. So I wouldn’t expect it to be Bruce sitting at the computer in the Batcave sorting through forensic analysis for 2.5 hrs.

Is the diner the Riddler is at in the beginning of the trailer supposed to be Phillies from Nighthawks?

I agree but you can have action in a detective story I think people are missing that point.
