Amanda is seen as the moral compass of the large cast of characters

Everyone I’m my fam hates her. Sam is pretty insufferable too. Was hoping Tori was gonna beat her arse bloody to precipitate the heel turn.

The show has tried too hard to redeem everyone. It’s kind of funny that we have to get Koreans we have never met before to be bad guy stand ins.

Feel like Robby being Johnny’s son definitely concludes the show with the victory.

The episode title for the first episode was - Ace Degenerate. The episode title for the 15th episode of seasons 6 is “Ex Degenerate". I think that’s a pretty big clue that this whole series is supposed to be Johnny’s redemption arc.

I can see him happily married with a wife, daughter, son and step son and opening up a chain of dojos. I tend to think that Johnny’s redemption arc also includes him confronting and turning Kreese…though I could also see him just completely rejecting him and letting Kreese stay a villain. Myagi Do winning the competition with Johnny’s son being the hero just seems natural.

The actors playing the “kids” are all old enough that they could “flash forward” ten years in the finale easily if they wanted.

Just a few things I noticed from the series-

Chozen stole just about every scene he was in. Him eating the canolis and him and Johnny looking for houses were gold.

He seemingly just “disappeared”. I mean,
they showed him looking for flights…but I don’t recall any dialog to confirm he left. I do believe that I saw some scenes from the second part of the season where he is in Spain.

Also, I’m curious that there were only 4 shown with the Korean team…that makes me think that Kreese and Tory may have recruited two
others, including Kenny…(man, it would be totally f’d up if Anthony showed up on that team too…but would require some logic stretching…I guess he would be in town with the family, then sneak off)

Finally, it looks like the movie with Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio isn’t going to be released until next May now, after Cobra Kai ends.

I had zero interest in watching this show, but on a whim started s1 on Netflix the other day.

I'm shocked at how good/entertaining it is.

Just finished…great stuff, looking forward to the end. Someone else said it in here, the show is so ridiculous at times, but it works.

And Demetri is such a f@g. Hopefully the bama bangs k-pop bro takes him out

and Season 1 was a YouTube Red show.

It's been one of the best written shows since it began.

it helps that Zabka is amazing.

I enjoyed part 1 of 3, but what are they going to do for 10 more episodes? Surely, the tournament doesn't last 5 full episodes for part 2 does it? Unless they do 1 episode dedicated to 1 or 2 fights, with some backstory / flashback scenes? What will part 3 be? A 5 episode epilogue?

Epilogue sounds right.

the conclusion to the kids going to college, Johnny's next step, finally find out the whole story of Miyagi's box etc.

Johnny kicking Barnes arse was gold. Johnny is the real king of the valley and LaRusso was a lucky punk that won the All Valley. I hope Tory kicks Sam's arse. All the LaRusso's are annoying on the show, especially his entitled little punk arse son. He needs his arse kicked daily.

I would love a Dojo ran by Johnny, Barnes, and Chosen. That would be awesome. Even though Chosen has "balance" we all know that he has that bad boy deep inside him.

Tory moving back to "Cobra Kai" was foreseen when Kreese visited her in the parking lot.

My final 6 would have been: Miguel, Robby, Hawk, Kenny, Devon, Tory.

I assume the writers did this so that way Miguel wouldn't have to take a loss in the tourney in a 1v1, which at this point, I assume the only two that would give him trouble would be Robby and Kwon. But I wonder why they need 6 in the first place if only the captains get to compete in the individual tournaments? What? Is there like a 2v2? A group competition? That sounds chaotic.

Hopefully we get more clarification on the tournament and how each dojo can win/lose. If it were only 6 fighters and only the captains can compete, then Miguel and/or Robby should have split off from Miyagi-Do.

Yeah, this didn't make sense unless the non-captains only compete in some type of skills competition (which would be lame).

Also, I'd like to see Miguel win the tournament, although I agree it seems like his arc is mostly complete and the focus of his character hasn't even been karate related ever since his injury in the last all valley.

Kenny should've made the team, puberty did wonders for that guy. Wouldn't be surprised to see him show up for Cobra Kai.

I believe the showrunners described it as a karate soap opera, from its inception.

Even when he asked Amanda if she was ready to make the move with him. Just classic Johnny.

There’s definitely not gonna be any of that. Plenty of set photos floating around of all of them fighting. It wasn’t clear how or why. My guess is there might be a team tournament (like Dojo vs Dojo) and a solo tournament for the captains.

I imagine the Dojo vs Dojo will probably be like the first team to three wins moves on to the next round or something like that. Gives a chance for Hawk and Miguel to shine a little. Hell they might even throw the sensei’s in there. Miguel might even be the one to help Miyagi Do win the whole tournament while Robby wins the solo tournament for the guys with Sam losing to Tory for the girls tournament. Totally a guess though. But I doubt they’re going to do a skills competition. That wasn’t well received by the fans. There’s definitely going to be a team tournament, sensei tournament or tag/2v2 tourney of some kind. Otherwise, the writers wouldn’t have included 4 extra fighters to just stand around and watch Robby fight
