Daima has been… fine? I think? It’s definitely an attempt to harken back to the OG DragonBall and corporate some GT non-canon into the fold which, mileage may vary if you like that or if you prefer the intensity of Z (feels like if Super adapts some of the upcoming manga arcs, it’ll scratch that itch).

Episodes are on Netflix and Hulu (I’ve been watching on Disney+ actually since they’ve been released there earlier).

Anybody watching any Daima? Heard it's not very good, but willing to give it a shot. The old Super drops at like 1 am on Saturday night were pretty fun. I guess Crunchyroll is the only place for the new ep drops now that Funimation is no more.

I've been watching Daima. It's not been bad, but man, I really just wanted a S2 of Super instead.

As mentioned, you can catch it on Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ on various release schedules. Sounds like the English dub will start airing next month starting with e1, 1 episode per week.

I just want Super :(

Is anyone still writing the manga in wake of Toriyama’s passing? The post tournament of power arcs were very fun to binge

First English dub is on Crunchy Roll right now, but yeah I’d much rather they just start adapting the Moro arc and continue the magna

wonder if the Super manga is dead and Frieza is canonically the strongest now

but it seems like we will get another DB movie this year or early next year. Hopefully it is Super and not Daima.

Apparently there are only 3 more eps of Daima. I really can't believe it's this short.

Will be very interesting to see how much of Daima is used going forward since there has been so much DB lore opened up with Daima.

Look, it's not Super, but the past few eps have been decent. Apparently ep 18 next week is going to be very big.

You have to plow through the first 13 or 14 eps. The last few have actually been decent. Not peak Super level, but at least decent.

The first few eps of Daima are basically terrible though. A total slog.

They're making a one shot goten and trunks, and then it should continue after. Series was just kinda rocked with the death of Toriyama

Absolute madness they actually made SSJ4 cannon. Wonder how they’ll explain this plus Vegeta going SSJ3 in Super considering they never used either form

Sounds like the start to GT. At what episode should we start?

Start around 10-12. You basically miss the entire 3rd realm portion of the show, which is a good thing.

There is some decent lore stuff that Shinn talks about that any DB fan should see.

I just wonder of Toriyama had some kind of alternate plan for another series after some of the aid revealed in Daima.

Guessing 3 is just irrelevant to adults now that they’ve ascended to God, blue, etc but matters when they’re kids because the ceiling is lower. 4 can be explained as needing the elder Namekian to unlock Gokus latent potential from SSJ3; conditions that likely can’t be replicated as an adult (note, too, that in GT Goku became an adult again during SSJ4 but remains a kid in Daima)

Exactly. They can just sell this one as a one-off transformation performed by the old Namek in the Demon Realm.

It's basically just a moment that I guess Toriyama wanted to give to the fans on the 40th amniv of the property.

We’re so fricking back boys. The Moro arc is finally being produced and will be titled Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol. Also, a remake of the Beerus arc will be dropping in the Fall. Trailer is inside the link

Haven’t watched Super or anything. But I just started a rewatch of OG Dragonball and man…those first few episodes are rough.

But the training with Roshi and tournament arc have been so good. Hitting all the nostalgia buttons

In the more immediate future, the anime’s being continued with Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, an “enhanced” remake of the 2013 film, Battle of the Gods. This new version promises to be more faithful to Akira Toriyama’s original ideas and make a better villaion out of Beerus. Look for it to hit this fall.

Quote from Gizmodo LINK

Guess it’s supposed to be more of what Toriyama wanted Beerus to be like as well as filler until the new Super.

I’m assuming it will still be a long time before the Moro arc will be dubbed. Felt like it took forever for them to dub super. DBZ is the only anime I can’t do subtitles in due to Goku’s voice. I’ll wait for the dubbed

A shame we didn't get Raditz resurrected after they all became Super Saiyans.
