Also, the whole angle with him and the half-zombie chick was pretty powerful. Meant to type that last night in my review, but I forgot...

Also, I agree that the only spoilers that should be in this thread are ones that have already been shown on the actual show.
I'll sit here all day and talk about the show and analyze it and shite like that, but I definitely still want to go into each new episode not knowing what to expect. It's far less enjoyable IMO if you know what's coming and what the plot line(s) is gonna be.
Maybe we should edit the first post and title of this thread to be about the show only, and then all interested in spoilers from the comic can read the other thread...

Another thing I loved about the show. It went at a deliberate pace and didn't try any cheap scares. The quiet and slow pace helped create a better atmosphere of loneliness and dread. Man, I hope I'm not overhyping but I haven't been this pumped about a show after one episode...even The Wire

Based on the first 90 minutes, I'm looking for this show to rock. Just as an FYI, if anybody has Cox Digital Cable, the first episode is replaying on "On Demand." My wife watched it last night.
Just looked up ol' Magical Negro on Wiki. Probably not the way he really speaks, but yeah he did have the same accent on Jericho. He's actually British.

The one negative review I have seen is that the accents have been horrible. To be honest through, I didn't really have a problem with any of them. Furthermore, when it comes to that guy we don't actually know where he is from.

Seriously I don't see a problem with the accents either. I grew up in NOLA my whole life and there are people that talk like yats, coon-arse' and also with a neutral accent. I do not think that you can analyze accents that much these based on extremely varying demographics in the US. Besides all of that, who gives a crap that much anyways. It does not make or break a movie or tv show.

I finally got around to watching it. I am a fan of the comic series and had high hopes for the TV show. AMC did not disappoint! What an incredible episode!
