So uh... I guess Harris murdered two people? Right? Why was the cousin murdered? We never got that real answer...I guess because the mom talked?
Why don't the Hoyts you know... redecorate that room later on when Julie escapes and why don't they silence the old black man like they silenced everyone else?
What happened to his wife?
So many unanswered questions. That kind of sucked.
If Thrones ends like that... geez.

So why did Roland go to that bar to pick the fight?
He felt like a piece of shite for murdering HJ, so he decided to go get his arse kicked.

Very underwhelming finale.

I am hotheaded and emotional and I think that episode was a piece of dogshit
However, my better half is calm and level headed. So she as able to walk me back. And she said that episode sucked

So, did they just skip over what happened to Amelia?
I figure she just R-U-N-N-O-F-T. Did they hint that something else happened to her and I just flat missed it?
I'm also in the "That ending was a big letdown" camp.

Also, Amelia's character essentially ended up playing no role in the entire outcome of the show, other than ruin Hayes' career due to her own selfishness, continually bring the case back up so that the entire family was overwhelmed by it, then what? Got a job as a professor somewhere?
Also, nothing special with the daughter? She essentially just didn't like Arkansas? Why not just freaking make that clear before instead of making it an entire red herring.
0/2 for this guy on finale's with huge build ups.

Thought the same thing. Seems like the logical thing to do.
I guess were just supposed to assume his wife died naturally but still would have been nice to get some closure there.
Ole Pizz tried to make the ending an artistic character driven ending just like season 1 and let me down again. Kept waiting for something juicy to happen and here I sit longing for more.

Loved the ending. Great final episode and the scene with Michael rooker was freaking awesome. Only weak part for me was the old man junuis just telling the entire story in blatant exposition. Otherwise, loved it. Even the Wayne and amelia parts made sense in the story. Makes you wonder, she had to have known where Julie was before she died.

So underwhelmed and disappointed with this ending.
My wife also said and I quote “Nick Pizzolatto sucks my white arse at endings!”

I guessed the plot in ep 7 and thought the finals was good

I took it that Tom killed Dan O'Brien. He should have. That should have been clarified.

Lot of sky high expectations for a season that was always a little bit mediocre.
Bar fight scene
Mr. June’s testimony
Hoyt conversation
Dungeon reveal
Meet up at the end
I thought those were good scenes, there were some uninteresting ones sprinkled as has been the case with the whole season. Overall I thought the sequencing between periods was tedious in this season and they picked the wrong actress for Amelia.

There wasnt really any twist or a super satisfying ending. Kinda let down but thought it was a good season overall. A- in my book

If you paid attention you could have nailed the basics of what happened by episode 3. 4 at the latest. They weren't trying to hide anything... Just make the discovery of how and why interesting to find out.
His mind was a whole bunch of missing pieces. I liked how the 8 episodes had pieces just floating around from 3 time periods and it all came together at the end.
Loved the scene in the car when Roland and Wayne are on the way to hoyts old place and they kept changing ages. That was bad arse.

Can someone explain the point of the Amelia character?
What did she bring to the storyline? Their fights and arguments were so much filler
Finale sucked. Good season but season 1 is still GOAT
