I was mildly entertained with first 2 episodes, and was gonna continue to watch just to watch, but haven't got back to it mainly because of the Ida outages/cleanup.

Are the last 6 worth investing a binge?

Just watch the Dr. Strange one and this last one (which was VERY good).

This is What If? should be, best episode yet by far.

Some others were good, a couple OK, and the Black Panther/Guardians episode only made it to TV for one reason, it was horrible.

do you think what if? will tie into the MCU overall? With Dr. Strange the multiverse of madness coming soon, and Loki introducing the multiverse it seems plausible.

edit: word is episode 9 is the season finale, should be a good one.

Yes.

This is the reason you don't randomly ignore Kang; some of those timelines he pruned with the TVA, hold much worse threats than him.

This was an incredible episode

So has Tony Stark basically died in every single episode of what if this season.

I'm also not quite sure if I buy Vision being that strong that he simply could have sliced him in half with a laser beam.

This episode would have been insane had it been live action w/movie quality CG. The Ultron v Watcher fight was great. Glad to see these are now starting to tie in together.

The multiverse is the best and worst thing to happen to Marvel but I’m along for the ride at this point.

Vision is "worthy"... a hero. He holds back and doesn't kill (which is funny, when you consider Thor being "worthy", killed a ton of dudes).

Ultron is a killer, and would have maximized Vision's potential in combat. Thanos is overconfident and strutted. He fricked around with Cap and the rest in Endgame, and let Thor get his possible killshot (Thor just missed with his aim).
Ultron had no reason to play around.

Spoiler:

Does Strange in this form have the juice to fight Ultron?

Does he need to power up once more... as in, take the Watcher? If he does that, does THAT push him over the top?

My guess is:
No to first question

Yes, if he absorbs the Watcher too. The Watcher was losing, but holding his own to an extent. You put that level of power into what Strange has already accumulated, I think it's enough, because then Stange's own already Universe-ending power is merged with all of the Watcher's multiversal powers... and generally speaking, guys that just sit and watch are pretty much already above it all already (although he clearly isn't above Ultron any longer).
The question becomes, is Strange, now remorseful over the fate of his own universe, willing to hit full power? And do we trust that his remorse will guide him towards ultimately not being an even bigger threat? (I guess we have to)

This was easily the best episode so far. I hope they keep pushing the overarching plot forward now. The first 7 episodes ranged from garbage to great, but this show would be completely amazing if they somehow tied it all together.

Others I think the Watcher will pull in from the series so far (pure speculation):

Star-Lord T'Challa, since Ego definitely destroyed that universe after finding Quill
Some heroes from the zombie episode, because zombie Thanos definitely wins in that reality
Party Thor
Black Widow and Arnim Zola from episode 8

Y'all think they'll pull in any others?

Episode 1: Captain Carter
Episode 2: Star-Lord T'Challa
Episode 3: Carol Danvers
Episode 4: Strange Supreme
Episode 5: Peter Parker
Episode 6: King Killmonger
Episode 7: Party Thor
Episode 8: Natasha Romanoff and Arnim Zoltron

Thanos literally didnt have a chance to use the gauntlet to block Ultrons beam.

He hit one of Thanos's henchmen with it in Infinity War and it barely did any damage.

He's not the only Watcher, the Watchers are basically the oldest beings in the Universe and are a group. (we actually saw some in Guardians of the Galaxy 2)

As someone said earlier. Maybe Ultron combined with Vision multiplied that power immensely. Otherwise, no way in the world is a simple blast from Vision enough to end Thanos.

SN: Are there more than 1 Watchers? From the Party Thor episode, he was surprised to see Ultron walk through the portal unto his planet. That reaction doesn't line up with this episode.
