What made poltergeist worst was that little girl died who played Caroline, and I thought that shite was real.

I used to have nightmares about the characters of the animated version of The Hobbit from the 70s, because apparently my dad thought this was a good movie for toddlers
I actually had no idea until about 3 years ago that this is what they were from, or even that they were from anything at all other than my imagination, but the face of Bilbo in particular was also embedded in mt memory from a recurring nightmare I used to have before I was even old enough to to to school.

Real life scared the shite out of me. The Ayatollah shared the shite out of me in the 80s when reading an article in Parade on a Sunday morning. Freaked out in 89 with the SF earthquake. Even though I was 13 the night Saddam went into Kuwait scared the crap out out of me...I ram from bed to bathroom and back while watching it that night. Titanic stuff still does.
Jason until 89ish and TFTC was freaky but perfectly fine if I tuned in a minute late and tuned out a minute early.

When I was 9 back in the summer of 81,my Grandmother bought a National Enquirer. I read some story about a boy who said the devil is on his wall at night as a shadow. Had the boy’s picture and a drawing of the shadow on the wall. I was actually scared of my shawdow the rest of the summer.
