How has no one mentioned Last of the Mohicans? The final 15 minutes of that movie is as incredible as anything I've ever seen.

Other two are:

Patton

The Searchers

Off the top of my head, most memorable would be:

Pulp Fiction
Requiem for a Dream
The Prestige

The Departed and Inception also stand out

You cannot put two movies next to this to get a better ending.

Boogie Nights - I am a star. I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star. I am a big, bright, shining star. That's right.

Not that it was a good movie, but Cabin in the Woods had an unusual ending to say the least.

I was just about to add that as a dark horse candidate and checked to see if anyone else had. (Though I think it was a pretty good movie, myself.)

Hard to pick a top 3.

"The Godfather" is absolutely deserving. That was a powerful scene, perfectly framed and scored.

"The Graduate" -- the looks on their faces was all the more perfect for the fact that they reportedly weren't directed to do that. Apparently, there were actually lines of dialogue in the original script but, for whatever reason, Nichols just told them to sit there and left the camera running while the two started to visibly wonder what they were supposed to do now as actors, not characters.

"Fight Club" has a very memorable ending, and who hasn't feel the need to quote, "You met me at a very strange time in my life" to someone at least once in their past?

"Invasion of the Body Snatchers," Sutherland edition. I don't think this needs further elucidation.

ETA: "Gangs of New York" is an ambitious but flawed masterpiece. I do like the ending, though.

The Departed
Sixth Sense
Primal Fear

That's not my favorite movies, but it's the most memorable endings for me.

1. Inception - LINK the music is great. The ending isn't definitive and lets you decide how you think it should end. Can't get better than that
2. Oceans 11
3. 3:10 to Yuma
