You’d have to be Calling Baton Rouge to get it but as Travis Tritt said, Here’s a quarter Call Someone Who Cares.

Was this concert comparable to Woodstock or something? It’s been fricking inescapable for nigh a week, and I don’t give one, tiny shite.

ETA: I wear any downvotes on this post with pride and honor.

He played Friends in low Places 132 times. Can these fricking threads end now?

A bunch of those encores… hard pass

People should’ve made better signs with better options for him to pick

Giving people a good show.

The songs at the end are songs that everyone sings at the bars and such. Just allowing people to have a good time.

I have zero clue. I didn't attend the concert in TS but am a huge fan of live music. Brooks is definitely one of the best live entertainers in the industry. He wants the crowd to get their money's worth, and he has been known to play for 3-4 hours in the past. At the recent Las Vegas show, Brooks played 44 songs and 30 were covers. He's very good at what he does, and his fans have a blast with the sing-alongs. Not uncommon to hear people claim that after attending a GB concert, it was one of the best shows they've ever seen.

IMO, covers are like surprises since you had zero expectations the cover song would be played. Imagine at Jazz Fest if the RHCP had opened the show with Black Dog and crushed it. The crowd would be going crazy. Or attending a 80's reunion concert with the Cure or The Smiths and either played a Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds into Hey Jude. The fans would be buzzing big time. I like covers, but not every band or singer can pull it off.

14 encores? lol I've never seen a show with more than like 2 or 3. Why are they even encores at that point and not just a regular part of the show?

It was really special when he played the Black Lives Matter song and his new song “Biden’s America” in the encore

I referenced those Beatles' covers as an example based on band history. Where are The Smiths and The Cure from ? Both bands originated in England and drew inspiration from the Beatles to make it big time. The Cure have played lots of covers including songs from the Beatles, The Kinks, David Bowie, and The Doors.

Think about this question and answer it seriously - if The Cure played in front of 100,000 at Wembley Stadium and opened with Helter Skelter for the first time, how do you think the crowd would react ? My opinion, those British hooligans would go absolutely ape-shite crazy. Not every band can pull off a cover, you have to know your audience and absolutely crush it.
