Incredible combination.
Steve Wariner was so good too. I was always a fan of his stuff. I think Glen tried too hard on that.
Damn what a song though.
I also liked what Steve Wariner did after that first bar on the baritone, he just leaned over and gave Glen Cambell a shoulder bump, like..Top this shite..

with all due respect to Guy Clark as the writer and JJW as the original recorder, DAC's is the superior version. I think his version of Tennessee Whiskey is super to Jones's as well, and Jones is one of my favorite singers of all time.

I haven't read the whole thread yet but Rock Salt and Nails is a favorite every time I hear it. Not sure who originally wrote it. maybe Utah Phillips?
