He ain’t wrong he’s just different but his pride won’t make him do things to make you think he’s right
The entirety of “Loving Her Was Easier Than Anything I’ll Ever Do Again” is just top notch as well.

I wish politicians would look out for miners / And not just minors on an island somewhere.

A few great ones from Alice In Chains
“Drifting body, it's sole desertion
Flying not yet, quite the notion”
“Some say we're born into the grave”
“I'd like to fly
But my wings have been so denied”
“Mind of destructive taste
I choose to stroll amongst the waste
It was your heart, lost in the dark
Call off the chase”

Pancho was a bandit boy
His horse was fast as polished steel
He wore his gun outside his pants
For all the honest world to feel
-Townes
He dreamed of something better, and my mama's faith was strong
And us kids were just too young to realize
That another class of people put us somewhere just below;
One more reason for my mama's hungry eyes.
-Merle
I been spending all my money on weed and pills
Tryin' to write a song that'll pay the bills
But it ain't came yet
Guess I'll have to rob a bank
-Sturgill

What do you think this line meant?: The dust that Pancho bit down south ended up in Lefty's mouth.

I’ve tried really hard to think of the greatest single line in music, but I can’t even pick a favorite song, much less the greatest line.
But there are specific lines/stanzas/choruses that move me every time I hear them, and one particular one is from Sturgill Simpson’s All Around You, and I relate it to my late son. My brain switches the “I” to “you.” Reading the words on their own doesn’t touch me the way hearing it with the music does.
There will be nights
That go on forever
Like you're long, lost at sea
Never to be found
Just know in your heart
That we're always together
And long after I'm gone
I'll still be around
'Cause our bond's eternal
So is love
God is inside you
All around you
And up above
Knowing
Showing you the way

Lefty betrayed Pancho for a big payoff. He had to live with that guilt for the rest of his days. It left a "bad taste in his mouth", so to speak.

With my kid on my shoulders I try
Not to hurt anybody I like
But I don't have the drugs to sort
I don't have the drugs to sort it out, sort it out
I defend my family with my orange umbrella
I'm afraid of everyone, I'm afraid of everyone
With my shiny new star spangled tennis shoes on
I'm afraid of everyone, I'm afraid of everyone

In the winter that you left
There was business as usual
With the same old fears and frustrations
But the word got out, it was really such a pity
But the judges and the saints
And the textbook committee
Decided you should be left out
Not even mentioned
GBV, Smothered in Hugs

Show biz kids making movies
Of themselves you know they
don't give a frick about anybody else
Steely Dan
The percentage you're paying is too high priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams
But today you just read that the man was shot dead
By a gun that didn't make any noise
But it wasn't the bullet that laid him to rest
Was the low spark of high-heeled boys
Traffic
