DGAF if he was dying. It sounds like absolute garbage. NIN 100 times better. I’m tired of hearing how great a cover it is. It sucks!

People aren’t able to differentiate between a good story and a good song. The cover has a good backstory, but it isn’t a good song. People act like since the cover has a good backstory it automatically makes it a good song.

Johnny Cash can't sing. Even in his prime. He talks.

I have to agree here.
I've seen way too many times this song listed in "Best Covers" lists and discussions.
After seeing Trent do it live again last month, it is not even a question of the original being superior.
