To me this says there is going to be intense pressure, even more than usual, from Lebron's camp to the Lakers to trade every future asset they can to get better now.

God it would be wonderful to have another lottery pick from the next year after the swap.

Keep hearing morning show guys say the Lakers can move Westbrook + 2027 1sts for Gordon Hayward
not sure why Charlotte does that

The only reason would be that Gordon's contract is longer and he never plays either. Salary dump and a potential future asset that could look good since Lebron will have been retired for at least 2 years by that point.

Charlotte has a little momentum I think they should build on but I do see an avenue where it's not the worst idea for them.
Get picks, expiring contract, buyout Russ, get off of Haywards contract.

And Mitch helps the regime that fired him/replaced him.
The Jazz could offer Gobert for Hayward and Plumlee. Much better trade for the Hornets. And Utah can mend some fences.
Hayward has value as a guy who makes the offense work and can be the adult in the room. Brooklyn, Miami, Cleveland, Lakers should all kick the tires on him this summer.

LOL. Those multiple sources are everyone who's been paying attention.
LeBron was very vocal about wanting Westbrook, and so of course he got Davis on board too.
"Multiple sources" say that I can save 15% on my car insurance by switching to GEICO.

They're the ones who could have said no. They chose not to. They chose to let Lebron/Klutch call the shot. It's the Lakers front office's fault, they lose the right to blame. They get to own it with Lebron and Klutch.

James will be a free agent after the 2022-23 season, but what is best for him long-term may not be what's in the franchise's best interest. Can the team successfully resolve its Westbrook mistake (the one James lobbied for) without taking on long-term, unwanted salary or giving up significant future considerations?
tune in to the next exciting episode of "not on your life!"

Klutch singlehandedly torching the lakers and the nets in the same season. Pretty impressive
Now the lakers are stuck with Westbrook and no draft capital and the nets are stuck with a max player who refuses to play LOL

These aren’t poverty franchises either. They’re in marquee markets and hopefully will lead the push to do something to rebalance the power between players/agents and teams.

Lakers let Klutch take over to get a bubble ring.
Made your bed, lie in it.
I think Klutch could die out once Lebron is retired.

On Zach Lowe's latest podcast they were discussing the issue of these star players not playing and said some of the suggestions he's hearing teams are floating to the league are tying salary to games played. He said that was a "blood issue" for the players, and I'm not sure how you'd enforce it. Teams wouldn't want to do this to their star player that is legit injured and is already trying to come back earlier than the team wants. But they would want to do this to someone that is sitting out to create leverage.

Ben Simmons is repped by Klutch.
Kyrie's agent is his stepmom. No, I'm not kidding.
