Today is the first day this season that the 538 prediction model gives us a better chance of making the playoffs than the Lakers.
thanks for link.
but the data does not support your statement.
look again.
pels are ahead in the list.
but. the projected data has lakers with 36 wins and pels at 34.
36>34.
and... their % chance of pels make playoffs is 17%.
lakers is 25%.
25>17.
so
theres a sort error.
misleading.
lakers currently ahead of pels in linked 538 data, sir.
peace. aloha.

Stephen A. Smith says the Lakers have to trade Anthony Davis after this season
LINK
It's pathetic. Stephen A. says that the Lakers need to trade AD because he's always hurt, and they should trade him this offseason while he still has a lot of value.
That ... does not compute.

IIRC, he whined that AD deserved to be sent to the Lakers before the deadline when he asked out at the last second.
Be careful what you wish for.

I’d actually like to see what a team would give for AD now?
I imagine it would be a fraction of the haul when he left.
Coming off that championship season AD has really dropped in prestige. From arguably top 5 player to maybe top 20? And with huge injury concerns and longevity questions

Whenever I’m feeling down I remember that AD’s winning percentage on the Lakers without LeBron is worse than his winning percentage with the Pels and I instantly feel better.

Who was the last player to play next to LeBron and come off looking better for it? POSSIBLY Kyrie?

another goodie from the bewildered Lakers fan base, my fellow Peli-sons
"Too optimistic
First of all, THT… really?
It wasn’t that long ago susperstar free agents wouldn’t even give the Lakers meetings. Have we forgotten? Too much dysfunction off the court.
Wasn’t that long ago stars in their prime didn’t want to play with LeBron. He comes with a lot that other dudes on that level don’t want any part of. Have we forgotten? He had to sign AD to his own agency to get another star to play with him and AD was the perfect mark.. classic beta, incapable of leadership. Then he needed the bubble with all its ramifications.
Don’t let LeBron’s leadership qualities and capacity for thriving amid dysfunction cloud you from the fact that the Lakers are still very much dysfunctional, or from the fact that he’s part and parcel of that dysfunction which is exactly what deterred stars from joining his circus.
There will be nothing instant about the process that’ll see the Lakers become true contenders again. I’m not talking about mainstream media contenders. Talking heads will pander that much to LeBron and sell that façade as long as he still plays.'

I hadn't checked Tankathon in several days, the Lakers have fallen to 11th behind Atlanta and Washington. Knocking the Lakers out of the Playin and keeping their pick feels so close.

Really we just need LeBron to decide to shut it down like he did the season before they traded for AD.

They did that in part to have a better draft pick to trade for AD. I do think if they keep stumbling and fall far enough behind there will be a quitting point, but there is no benefit to tanking for the Lakers this season.
Hopefully the Blazers stay hot, we need all the help we can get trying to push the Lakers down the standings.

Josh Hart gonna keep the Blazers rolling, knock the Lakers down to a top 10 pick, and come home on a FA contact next season ... playing the long Peligame

This Doesn't get mentioned much by the media but the Lakers ownership is low-key cheap.

That is pathetic - so it's either you absolutely paid no attention when he played here, or you just figured it was o.k. he just wasn't playing because it was New Orleans and that would not be an issue elsewhere. but you're right - either way pathetic...your supposed NBA expert shocked that AD is what he has always been.....Street Clothes.

Putting Christian Wood in the same locker room as AD and LeBron would have been funny to watch.
