For some weird reason, we do not play or match up well with the Spurs/Pop. Murray et. al. Pick n Roll us to submission every time it seems.

Just concerning the Spurs comment, hopefully in the not too distant future, when we are much better...at crunch time in the final 5 minutes or so, we'll be in a position where we won't just trot Val out there to be abused on the defensive end, time after time, with the P&R. It's just too easy for them & he's just got TOO big a target on his back on the defensive end, when teams really want to take advantage of it.

Maybe Nance can help with that. We got Herb in charge on the front-end.

Exactly...Nance could be quite useful in that regard and IF Herb can handle another 15-20 lbs down the road, without losing quickness...he would give us another option if we went "small ball". The future is bright, for this squad.

I'm sure Russ will love someone coming to take his minutes

I'd like to say the Pels did it, but did you see that pass into the stands? I think he did it to himself.

I love how the NBA.com preview article about tonight's game starts:

quote:

The struggling Los Angeles Lakers will try to silence the home boobirds on Tuesday night when they host the surging Dallas Mavericks.

Look at Westbrook admitting that they aren't playing hard:

quote:

Teams are coming in, playing harder, and I believe that's kind of their scouting report: Just play harder than them and see what happens. And it's working. Until we determine and have the determination that we're not going to allow it, especially on our home floor, it will continue to happen to us.

We can get within 2 games of the Lakers tonight if they lose. And they have the second hardest remaining schedule in the league. It’s happening isn’t it?!

And this is why I feel bad for Bodie. The Lakers don’t even deserved a diminished version of him. At least he competes, no matter the circumstance.

Hilariously they cut 33 year old DeAndre Jordan and got older by adding 34 Augustin.

Also, check out the Lakers defensive effort tonight in this short sequence

They’ve got to be close to just completely folding.
