That and the Knicks win makes it extremely likely now that we'll be getting the Lakers pick.
IF the Pels and Knicks lose every game until the end of season that would mean the Lakers would still have to win twice. I don't see where those 2 wins are coming from

OKC - packed it in
Golden State - may have packed it in at that point

A little ironic that the Knicks are helping us.

Knicks have won 4 straight and still play Orlando and Washington.
Really just need one or two more wins from Washington and for Spurs and Pelicans to win the games they're supposed to win.
That would push LAL all the way down to the 8th worst record.

Blazers and Thunder are playing a close game right now. There's multiple names in the box score that might be made up: Klejin Blevins, Lindy Waters III, Vit Krejci.

It is definitely silly season now as they say.
I know he's with clutch but mclemore wouldn't be a bad idea for the bench if we can't get anyone better.

I think the Knicks are comfortably ahead of the Lakers now. They have 2 more wins in them most likely, although it's probably best if they lost to Washington when they play them.
Lakers are losing their next two games without a doubt without LeQuit.
If we beat them on Friday, then i think that's it, they are done. Spurs will have 2 more wins by Sunday and be 2 games ahead of them.
Washington has a tough schedule ahead of them. They'll be lucky to win 2 games, but that's probably enough to stay in front of the Lakers.
Our game on Friday is key. We have to beat them. And we need Dallas and Utah to kick their arse and break their spirits as well, as if they weren't already broken.

I dont want to get too far ahead of myself but what can we get with Pick 8, Graham and Temple?

Gonna be awesome when the Lakers' win the lottery and hand us the #1 pick, which we use on a stud that makes us even better. Zion gets over his market issues and wins a ship with us, all because New York went on a meaningless winning streak to end the season.

People keep dreaming of a $20+ starting caliber, Brogdon level player, but whoever you trade for is coming off the bench. Not only is that too much money coming off the bench, is that starter going to be happy in that role? Probably not.
Pels just need to use the picks and draft well. You need upcoming cheap talent to replace guys you won’t be able to afford to keep once Zion gets paid.

You do what the Warriors have been doing. Take a stud and play him off the bench for a while. If you don't like them, package them for a shooter. If Zion stays, we should do everything we can to get as many shooters on the roster as possible.

Hopefully Mathurin, then use Graham to get a better fitting guard or a bigger 3/4 defender to cover that gap
Team really doesnt have room to add too big of a vet contract with Zion's raise coming up and CJ/BI on the books, plus guys like Herb that will get significant raises as well. And if you arent going for a top 30 player for #8, I think you are mismanaging resources

Eric pincus (cap guy) wrote an article yesterday about how much additional spending power POR would have if they picked up harts option, held on to Simons’ cap hold, and remained above the salary cap.
as opposed to clearing the decks and max space. It’s a ton of extra money to spend and I assume that’s what they will do, thus no chance of hart coming back to slide in to backup 2.
I think unless they swing a mega trade for a starting guard like SGA they’ll stay put with graham and look for a bench shooter, and hope TM3 is the real deal
2 years of CJ though.
if there’s a home run swing to take I think they need to do so

Gotta use that pick and draft the best available player.
I would like to see them move Graham though

How can they afford a trade for SGA though?
Give me your scenario of landing SGA

I could see CJ getting an extension. I'd be much more comfortable giving him 2 more years at $30 now than having to decide if we'd give him 4 more years in 2. He's currently on an extension though, I'm not sure about rules of extending extensions.

We should just trade Graham for Hart and be done with it.

Absolutely agree with this statement. Look at how successful franchises went on streaks. The Spurs and Warriors both had internal growth and drafting well.
I said yesterday, trading up to get a higher pick could be wise and pairing it with some such as
Temple/Graham/Other 1st
