I apparently, have a different definition of "floor" and "ceiling" concerning young NBA players...than most folks here. No problem...just not easy to discuss the subject under those conditions.
Having said that...I'll just say that, even with his poor offensive start to his career...I think DD will end up being a MUCH more valuable player for the Pels...than Trey will. Takes a bit of nerve to take that position...at this point in their respective careers...but there it is.

Daniels floor is Elfrid Payton. He’s a smart player. Daniels is big at his natural position. Is Murphy’s floor better than Elfrid Payton?
I say yes.
But I think Daniels could be the best player out of the three. But it’s a small chance.

He does most everything else well.
I think he’ll be fine.

gonna be so fun bumping your hot takes on DD in a few years. You compared him a few weeks ago to being Kira and Jax level busts…

id like to see my exact words in context.
i agree dyson has upside if he can learn even just 3 pt set shot and Ft.

This is so cute. Ben Simmons made multiple all star teams and an all nba team not being able to do either.
Except . . . this isn’t really true. Ben Simmons shot .545 from the field his first full season on 12 attempts a game.
Daniels shot .418 from the floor last season on 3.4 attempts a game.
Ben Simmons can’t shoot from outside or make a foul shot, but he could get to and finish at the rim. His career FG % is .560.
People comparing Dyson to Ben Simmons doesn’t make it so. Dyson Daniels has to get much, much better offensively to be as good as Ben Simmons.
Ben Simmons failed spectacularly on the biggest stage and has practically run himself out of the league, but dyson’s floor is far below that of Simmons.

Simmons also went #1 overall.
So why can’t Markelle Fultz get into an allstar game much less make an all nba team?

Markelle Fultz was not deemed a generational talent a year before being drafted.

I hear his deep shot is about as good as your deep shot when your ole lady gives you a hall pass

Fun fact, Dyson nearly tripled Ben Simmons career attempts from three in his rookie season
