Did the edit out the Rich Paul comment? I forgot at what point in the conference that comment was made, but I'm rewatching it now that it's back up and I didn't hear it. Maybe I'm not to that part yet though

ETA: I'm fairly certain they did edit out the Rich Paul comments

He sounds like a guy who was originally trained up in San Antonio and worked on his game to develop a ton since he's been in the NBA.

Oh man if Murray shows he's a legit leader and his slide on D the past couple of year is due to ATL/Trae, and ATL/Trae continue to suck with Trae as their star, the gloating will not end from this guy.

I listened to it on the way home. Murray said all of the right things and I’m ready to watch him play for the Pels. That was one of the better press conferences I’ve seen from a player in a long time.

I believe him. Can’t wait to see his defense. He won’t have the offensive burden on our offense like he did with the hawks

does zion look fat in that picture?

No really. He looks like he's staring at the team owner's boobs.

So far you have to be impressed with Murray.

We lost a few dogs in Val and Naji but Murray should definitely add to our toughness.

I think Murray and Herb have a chance to be a top 5 defensive G pair, which is huge when we'll be going against teams like Dallas.

I don't have much faith in Willie as a coach, but I do think he can get Murray back to being a good defender.

I think Murray is going to be 10x more locked in on defense now that he’s not having to cover for Trae. It makes his job easier covering the primary ball handler, as well as Herbs job not having to cover for CJ

Currently, how does Herb get on the court at the same time as Murray?

I think they play a lot more small ball this year. Murray is a very good rebounder for a guard. Zion, Herb and Trey are going to have to step up in that department.

The big question would be who is the best at guarding other 5's?

Either Trey/ Zion could end up there. Curious how these (2) improve on defense

Of the non center lineups I think Ingram is the most capable of guarding other 5s. We saw it some last year. But he's not a legit backup center and with his injury history would probably break down if he did that all game every game. You probably need to have small ball 5 by committee with Zion/Herb/Trey/BI all taking turns during a game so nobody gets worn out or abused. And then there will be some games where you are just going to need to play your 7 footer more minutes...Is Missi our biggest player currently?

I meant between Zion/ Trey. I really don't think BI will be on the roster. Trey/ Missi would be our 2 tallest players I believe.

If BI isn't on the roster then we hopefully have a better center situation.
