Anyone gonna link or mention who is saying this or nah?

Matt Moscona said he talked to some people close to the Pelicans day before yesterday and the plan was Friday. I’m 95% sure he spoke to Graff, but I guess he could have spoken to Kushner as well.

McNamara said he’s heard Friday with Zion coming off the bench, take of that what you will.

There’s also one more, but I can’t remember for the life of me who it was.

Let the boys roll out vs Sacramento & Memphis.

Come back vs a hopefully sitting NYK.

Then ramp up vs @Minnesota.

Full throttle play-in

Yes, I would like to see Zion playing again this week. I'm all for it.

If he can come off the bench Friday then why not Wednesday. It would be helpful for the team on the B2B. No one will second guess it as everyone is ready to see him back.

Tram should really try to avoid the play-in if possible.

You have to draw the line somewhere or you could do that for every game.

If he comes back Wednesday, why not 1 game before... Then 1 game before that... And so on and so forth.

Of course you can. But if he’s healthy, it would really help to have Zion for 15-20 minutes on the second of a back to back. As much for the energy it would bring as for how he plays. Plus every game back will knock off a little of the rust he’s sure to have.

I’d guess Wednesday, leading the team off the bench for the final 3 games. Gradually adding more experience with BI and CJ.

He looked like he’s over 300 lbs though, based on the shoot around footage the other night.

We do this every time, and every time he looks just fine when he returns and is dominant.

"Fat" Zion is still dominant of course - it's more the fact that being heavy will lead to re-injury. Excited to see him out there either way.

No way they play him both games of a B2B so Id play him off the bench against memphis so he can be fresh while some of our other guys will probably be tired. I think we can beat Sac without zion, then memphis might rest some guys vs us.

The biggest reason I would love to see him play Wed (again assuming he’s healthy) is it would give him three games prior to a potential play-in game to knock the rust off and get closer to game shape. It would be ridiculous to expect him to be anywhere close to pre-hamstring injury Zion right out of the box.

I would imagine it's going to take him at least 1 full series before he's fully up and going again after missing 4 months of action

The positive is he doesn't have to "rediscover" his shot (a la CJ) since pretty much all of his attempts are at the rim

The main question is will he have that burst to move around defenders

Welp... apparently Willie Green just said Zion didn't practice today... and the only practice day left in the regular season is Saturday in Minnesota

Guess it's Minnesota or the postseason for a Zion return... if at all

I must have missed the time he returned. When was that again?

The following season!! But In your defense it only lasts for about 13 games then he gets hurt again. So you might have missed it lol.

Seems like he won’t be back for the regular season.

“Meanwhile, in New Orleans, Zion Williamson is expected to ramp up toward a possible return during the playoffs for a Pelicans team seeming to head that way,” Charania wrote.

“I’m told he’s recently been playing low-intensity 3-on-3 with some coaches. Williamson is getting some scrimmage work in but still needs to progress in 5-on-5 practices and deal with contact before being cleared to play.

“Sources say the team will remain cautious with him and won’t rush or pressure the process simply because the playoffs are near.”

Give it up man, we’ve seen how this plays out with him. He’s not playing again this year
