Up vote if you think Griff can right the ship down vote if you are done with him and the front office.

He's done some bad things and he's done some good things. His handling of the Zion situation has seemed to me to be really poor, so unless that changes I'd probably go with no.

I don't trust him to pick an appropriate big or shooter. We need an athletic big with a pulse on defense. When we pay for a shooting "specialist" they need to be good at it.

I think we are a few key moves away. Do I think he isn’t telling us the truth about Zion? 100%. BUT this team has so many good pieces when healthy. He needs to go out there and ship JV for a legit center. We also need a ball handling pg. you do that and this is a top 4 team without Zion

NO. That's insane.

Our only path to a title in the next five years is with Zion Williamson playing basketball for the New Orleans Pelicans.

people post that every day.

why does the trading partner go with your deal?

its ideal if you say a real player. that way we evaluate the nominee.
length of deal. I think an expiring end of 23 could make it work for the trading partner.
look at free agents.
let us know. every one says that.

Yeah when you actually look at the landscape of bigs, there not many out there that are 1) available 2) an upgrade over Jonas and 3) make a reasonable amount of money. Turner and capela are the only that come to mind and I’m not even sure capela is an upgrade. That leaves turner who would require a good amount of assets to pry away

I’d rather Trajan and Swin have a lot stronger say. I believe those two would work well with Griff out of the picture. They both know basketball and are both younger and more in tune with the players.

Again with the Jonas bullshite. Tell me then who are we going to get that is a better player than Jonas on a contract like his? I’ll wait….. it was no secret that this team played so much better when they ran the offense through Jonas, especially when Zion was down. He’s too big for most starting centers to handle in today’s game and you always want a big guy like him against teams with other big guys like Minnesota.

Trajan runs the draft, I think Swin is more in charge of player relations.

IIRC also those two were the big reason we hired Willie

I’m giving Willie a pass until I see him with all 3 of those guys playing together for an extended period. He’s only in his 2nd year as a head coach he’s going to make some mistakes. The real tell will be if he learns from them. He’s got a solid group of assistants that can help him, there’s no reason we should not be a top 4 team in the west year in and year out with this group. The Warriors and Suns are only getting older with their group of stars the new west powers look like they should be Denver, Memphis, Sacramento and New New Orleans.
