not one of those guys would be worth anything to us... like it or not, barring a trade, we are as good as we are gonna get at C

No real vet leader there. Theis is decent (and old), but does he bring
"vet presence?" Guys like Thompson, Lopez, or Harrell have at least played starter level minutes a long time (a long time ago, but still...).

I think Damian Jones would love to play for the Pels. Local kid. A little stiff but a pretty good athlete. He has a little pop left.

I said in the past that we would miss Jonas, whatever his faults,

Last year he only started 3 games and averaged 18min. His per 36 was 13pts/ 9reb/ 2blks/ 1stl.
People forget that we could not maximize Val even if he did have great games.
You have a 20/15 player in Val that is only going to average 10/10 with this roster. Now we have a 10/10 guy who should be able to get us 10/10 and do what we need for 1/3rd of the cost.
Can we quit the "vet presence" bullshite after CJ's late game frick ups and Nances inability to move the needle. Zion/ Herb are on year 4 and 5. Teams like the Thunder had a rookie coming off an injury at center and we are gonna compare a 31y/o to a 30 y/o for "vet presence"...
