Hart, Naji, and Temple combined for 1 of 12 from the 3 point line. I really don't want those guys to be spacing for Zion on a nightly basis.

That because neither TM3 or HJones were 19 year-old, underclassmen coming into the league. It does make a difference.

Appears they want NAW to run the second unit with Naji/Murphy starting dependent on the match up. Makes sense if Bi and Zion share primary ball handling duties on 1st unit.

That’s encouraging because tonight’s starting lineup ain’t it.
I like Naji’s hustle, but if he can’t knock down shots, and reign in some of his questionable offensive tendencies, he needs to be coming off the bench.
Start Naw or Trey instead.

You're ignoring all that stats from last year, which strongly indicate that NAW performs better in the starting lineup and Devonte performs better in the 6th man role. If you're wanting more defense in the starting lineup, then replacing Devonte with NAW makes more sense anyways.
I think NAW is locked into one of the starting guard spots. The other one is still technically an open competition, although I think Devonte leads for it. Hart, Sato and Temple will all compete with him for it.

Man, I didn't get to watch the game but I figured people would be a little more understanding given it's the first preseason game, down 2 starters and 14 guys played, but there's people already pissed off

You wouldn't understand then lol.

Understand what? That a team missing 2 starters that are expected to be its #1 and #3 scorers and primary inside threats, both of whom command double teams, looked bad on offense?
It's the first game of preseason with Ingram as the only returning starter that played last night, so you don't really need excuses for that, but if people are judging guys like Graham based on last night, you shouldn't. The spacing should be very different with Zion and JV in the game attracting attention.

There was a lot of general negativity in this thread and lots of people jumping all over their confirmation biases. We just have too little data in non representative conditions to make judgements on what we saw last night other than the Pels bench >>> Wolves bench.

Can we at least conclude that Murph will shoot 60% or greater from 3 for his career? I feel like we’ve seen enough.

Good news is that they have the pieces to make a very viable starting line up for Zion and BI. They just need to start the rookie and have NAW as the 6th man and insurance for Murphy if he struggles.
As much as I want NAW starting, his ability to create and score wouldn't be on full display if he played the majority of the minutes with BI And Zion. He's going to be more valuable with offensive freedom with the bench and as a closer.

With good reason. They were epic trash in that first half.
There's context though, and no reason to be overly concerned or anything.

I think that Trey Murphy is going to end up as the 5th starter. That will make for a very large starting lineup, but I think it will be effective.

I need to see a NAW,BI,Trey,Placeholder(Naji?),Jonas lineup before the end of preseason.

they got smoked in Q2, but won the other 3.
FG% and assists were subpar, but i wouldnt call it "epic trash"

The 2nd quarter was epic trash. Just a total buttfricking disaster.
The rest of the time they played from ok to pretty well.
I'm ok with Willie working on lineups and what not, but I think by Game 5 of preseason you have to gradually have what your regular season rotations will be in place.

Well that's to be expected when Minnesota played their Stars heavily against our reserves for the majority of the second quarter.

Yup, there's definite context, and its preseason.
