Just because you get pick #4 doesn't mean you're forced to select Ivey.

If you like Mathurin more you pick him. Who cares if he's not rated as high on ESPN draft board.

The Raptors skipped on Suggs last year. Everyone freaked out but now they look brilliant.

We staying at 8 and taking Mathurin

Next season is when the lottery luck will hit us and we swap pick 30 with the Lakers 1st pick

Depends on the combine and pre-draft interviews obviously, but there seems to be a relatively clear 4-5 top picks which includes Ivey. Usually, GM’s won’t reach for guys outside of that top tier mocked from 8-10 and take them at 4. There’s a consensus most of the time.

If we did get 4 and say the Pacers fell to 6-7, I’d love for Griff to trade back a few spots if they want really want Ivey, but not sure if I trust him to do that

That would be insanely stupid. You don't trade down from a top 4 pick, when Ivey and Sharpe are gonna be on the board, to 6 or 7 when they're both guaranteed to be off the board.

Hopefully we learned this lesson when we traded the 4th pick for 8 and 17.

Unless the Pacers are giving us Haliburton or an unprotected 1st for next year, we'd be crazy to do that.

If we jump up and OKC falls back to 5-6, they would be my trade target.

1-2 + Temple (they buy him out and he returns as an AC) and Graham for 6, Dort, Kenrich, with 25, 26 and 27 picks

Ran it once and we ended up 1st. Cavs jumped to 3rd and Kings to 4th so Rockets, Magic and Thunder dropped to 5, 6, 7.

Can't shower or change clothes now.

Edit: My guess is 9.

All about opinions on the players. I personally think Mathurin and Sharpe will be better than Ivey, and I have both of them in the same tier.

So if that were the case, then yes I’d want to trade back two spots to 6 where one of them is basically guranteed and get extra throw in picks down the road and/or unload salary to the Pacers somehow, if the Pacers REALLY wanted Ivey

Bet you were excited when we traded for so we didn't have to take Darius Garland either

Yea because every draft is the exact same situation, right?

If you think Ivey is Garland, that’s fine, I don’t. I also think Mathurin and Sharpe are light years better than Jaxson as prospects. Situation is completely different

I hope I’m wrong but for some reason I have a feeling it’s going to be 11 and go to the grizzlies.. Things have been going to good for us lately.. I pray I’m wrong but that’s what my gut is telling me..
