Pelicans even just hit their free throws it’s a different game. That’s not on WG. Need to keep that in mind when they go back to Phoenix.

We made 80% of our FTs, that was the the problem.

This is a horribly shallow take. Monty threw a ton at Willie tonight, and it caught them off guard.

Fine.. but Monty didn't do much differently in the 1st quarter that forced us to turn the ball over like the Washington Generals for 4 straight minutes

Didn’t hit them down the stretch when we needed them. Statistics lie.

Yeah, he's learning - Monty had to learn too. What he has done for the team culture if far bigger and is nothing short of spectacular, but he's still learning his trade as a head coach.

And one more reminder, we shouldn't play lineups the same as regular season, should adjust roster to win playoff games, sit hayes,Graham and Marshall

My biggest gripe with Willy tonight was the rotations as well. At this point, since Ingram and CJ both handle the ball and Jose is your only other good player we have to play that role. But Graham should play like 6 mins a game max. Just to give little rest breaks to CJ/BI/Jose. Naji is fine In limited minutes but only in certain packages. And Hayes hasn’t played great but I’m fine with his role. I just think that’s the worst game Willie has done of adjusting In the series. I think he will for game 6 though. Let’s just pray Ingrams pinky isn’t an issue

Willie(and Monty) seem to be going through a back and forth cycle of you adjust, I dont adjust, I adjust, you dont adjust, I dont adjust, you adjust every game.

Willie is sort of hoping what worked the game before carries them again, even though each win still had issues to iron out, but they seem to not get ironed out til the following game.

Only problem is we are on pace to win game 6 via this cycle, then lose game 7 by being stubborn and not anticipating or adjusting to Monty's game 7 chess moves.

Suns actually targeted Brandon Ingram on defense last night, and switched Bridges onto him more last night.

The lineup at the end of the third was atrocious. They had their scorers on the bench and we matched with pulling ours. We had a chance to start the 4th down 5 or less but instead started it down 11.

Graham's first few minutes he had 2 turnovers, gave up an easy basket, and missed his shots. There's literally no reason for him to play in game 6.

BI was noticeably bad defensively last night. He will never be a "dude" on that end but I feel like he has taken steps there this season. The easy adjustment ALL night was to put Jose on CP3 and put Herb on Bridges and I don't know if we ever saw it, if we did it wasn't until very late in the game.

Willie seems to be very unwilling to make necessary adjustments in game and it's frustrating.

They did that several times, and Bridges got Herb switched off him.

They took advantage of the Pels picking up CP3 full court by attacking more in semi-transition scenarios, and doing lane runs with the Pelicans defense spread out.

Willie Green is star struck with CJ, he will not coach him by telling him what he should do. Green has been around the game long enough to know that this 1v1 ball doesn't work. Move the ball and find your shooters. Everything will open up after that.

Cold shooting and turnovers.

The Pels were beaten literally in every statistical category but rebounds and they still beat us under the offensive board. They use ball movement to get open shots and we let ourselves get hemmed in and have to struggle for the open shot.

Willie had lineups that he didn't use before i.e. CJ,Graham,Val,Nance and Jones. Than he waited until the 3rd quarter to play his best 3pt bench player in Murphy and even the commentators and Barkley said he should have played Alvarado earlier. So yea it was a horrible coaching job by Willie.
