How far can a Ingram led team take us?

With the tax crunch coming, some people considering moving on from Zion, the recent trade talk of trading BI to get to #3, how far do people think a team with BI as the best player can take us?
Here is a comparison between BI (4th -7th seasons, age 22-25) and another player (4th -7th seasons, age 23-26) that was considered an elite 1v1 scorer but raised questions about whether you could win a championship with him:
Additional stats:
Ingram - 113 ORtg, 114 DRtg, 17.6 WS, .111 WS/48
Player B - 110 ORtg, 112 DRtg, 25.6 WS, .100 WS/48
*Spoilers below*
The stats say the two are very comparable with Johnson collecting more of the counting stats since he played more. Johnson would go on to be an all star in 5 of the next 6 seasons but he never made it past the second round in his career. Can we expect a BI team to do better?

Ingram= play-in tournament/1st round exit at best.

Isn’t the idea that Ingram is our 2nd best player?

He can and will make a great #2 though.

I should clarify. This has more to do with people wanting to keep BI but move on from Zion.
Still, how far do you think a team whose second best player is Joe Johnson can go?

Well as we’ve seen, We’re like a .500 team at best with him as the #1 option.
Griff isn’t giving Zion up just yet. If this trade goes through it’s BI

That is unfair to say.
These last two years there’s been a gaping hole at the power forward position.
what would this Pels team from this last season look like with Aaron Gordon playing over injured Nance and Hayes? Or even Randle?
That’s an outside shot at the WCF depending on seeding.

It wouldn't be his team. Ingram and McCollum share the lead now. In 2-3 years it passes to Henderson and Murphy.
The Superstar model is not going to work in a small market. We just need solid stars (like Paul and West)..

Who didn’t win shite and one of them deferred to a role player in a must win game.

Milwaukee just won a championship a couple years ago because of their superstar.
Denver is about to do it this year.
Cleveland did it with Lebron.
The superstar model is the ONLY way to win a championship in a small market.
There’s only one guy on this team capable of doing that, and it’s not Ingram.

We’re about a 43-44 win team the last two years with Ingram as the lead guy, which is really hard to quantify because you have what is supposed to be the best player on the team not playing in 85% of those games.
The team wasn’t built for him to the be the number 1 guy, and to say that he’s failed as the number 1 guy isn’t fair to him. We’re 29-26 in 2021/22 with Ingram playing, including a 1-5 start, and 23-22 this past season, which includes him coming back in the middle of a 10 game losing streak.

Then he shouldn’t have been pumped up as the #1 guy from day 1. That’s the problem and that’s why he has to be traded.

He has to be traded because he’s been pumped up as a #1 and he isn’t?
He hasn’t played enough to know what a seeding would look like if he played 70 games. Which is a problem.
your reasoning should apply to the actual guy who’s been pumped up to be the guy but isn’t.
Though we can’t trade him because his value is at a low point.
As opposed to Team USA member Ingram who played lights out at the end of last year & is a gym rat.
Solid logic.

BI doesn’t have the personality to lead a team. Zion is too immature to lead a team. CJ is a perfect leader but just struggled due to injury this year.

Yes because you cannot turn the team over to the actual #1 guy without feelings getting hurt. Case in point look at Boston.

His record is 106-117 over 4 years, 60-70 without Zion.
Pels are 57-57 when Zion plays. Zion has played 21 games without Ingram and has a winning record in those games.

He was never pumped up as the number 1 guy
They pumped Jrue up as the number 1 guy to take the pressure off of Zion. Zion was then pumped up as the number 1 guy, remember point Zion and BI taking a step back? But Zion hasn’t played and forced BI to carry the team with limited help from CJ and JV.
Ingram was never meant to be the number 1. It was meant to be Zion.

Someone hasn’t listened to Griffin pressers the last 3 years

I feel this changed a bit after Ingram led them to playoffs. Honestly it was on purpose to shine the light on Ingram and it being his team last year especially in the beginning of the year as Zion slowly worked his way back. When Zion led us to 1 seed in December it shifted back to Zion but then he got hurt it shifted back to Ingram lol Personally it’s confusing as hell lol
