those traits don’t tend to be good in interactions with the cops.

Given recent police behavior over the past few years, it’s not necessarily him that was in the wrong. I mean, if the police were trying to enter the premises and were told no, but came anyway, that is already a law broken by them. But that’s not to say Hayes wasn’t the one acting a fool and deserved what happened to him, just that there’s two sides to every story and police often don’t provide an accurate account of events.

They were there for domestic abuse claims according to the very limited info we have. It doesn't matter if Jax doesn't want them to come in, they are coming in

They can enter the premises in cases of potential domestic violence/disturbances.

It's possible, I'd say not likely though

Well that certainly depends, this isn't necessarily so.

We should definitely wait for more info, I'd just say we should probably assume it's the worst and then be pleasantly surprised if the story plays out in his favor, for the Pels of course.

The domestic disturbance component kinda gives them probable cause.

Correct. In many jurisdictions they can enter on a domestic call.

“Sir, we have reason to believe that someone is in danger inside you residence. We’re coming in to take a look.”

“No thanks, everything is okay.”

We have no clue how serious this is. Going to a hospital sounds serious, but they could also be documenting relatively minor cuts and bruises for legal reasons rather than being at the hospital because they needed serious medical treatment.

If it was just a cop and Jaxson got minor injuries while Jaxson impeded police progress into the house, I could see this going away. Brawl doesn't imply anything other than bigger than a 1 on 1 incident.

What about this kid gave you the impression he wouldn't do something this stupid?

I didn't say he wouldn't do something stupid. More like he doesn't seem like the type to seek out physical altercations or fisticuffs. Even on the court, he never really seemed to be a high contact type.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

I will need more info before I condemn Hayes for not simply letting police into his house.

You missed the part about probable cause, didn't you?

Guessing if your sister was getting her arse beat and the neighbors heard screaming and fighting so they called the cops and they go to the house.
But the guy tells them they can’t come in and she’s to scared to come to the door, so the cops leave.

She ends up in the hospital or worse later, guess you’d be totally cool with the cops performance then right? I’m sure you wouldn’t say a word…

No, but "domestic disturbance" is vague as hell. It could be probable cause, and it could not be probable cause.

Yea... The law doesn’t exactly end there. You’re missing about a thousand cases that scrutinize that into bits and pieces

This thread is depressing enough without it getting hijacked by dumbass wanna-be lawyers.

We're told law enforcement were called to an LA area home for a domestic disturbance early Wednesday morning ... and when cops attempted to check on the parties involved, 21-year-old Hayes tried like hell to keep them from entering the premises.

This is what everyone is relying on to say they had probable cause. There very well could have been a valid reason for the call and the police to enter, but likewise very well could have been them over stepping their authority.
