Okeke I think would be a 2nd round steal

I have a hard time seeing him enter the draft given the injury.

I think that would make him more likely to go in the draft. He had a good year at Auburn and can fully focus on recovery during his rookie season without being rushed back. Whereas if he stays, teams will want to see how he responds post-injury.

also how would anyone respond if I told you that DeAndre Hunter is older than Jayson Tatum by 3 month & younger than Brandon Ingram by 2 months?

Does that skew how you see DeAndre Hunter considering he's a top-10 pick?

But he is likely to lose a shot at a guaranteed contract as a 1st rounder. He would certainly fall to the 2nd round.

And if he comes back next year, he likely doesn't play until February, if at all. Probably doesn't look good when he does play, and the class is likely stronger.

If I were his advisor, I would strongly recommend he come out this year. A team like SA, with two first round picks could easily take him and redshirt him. Teams will essentially look at him as a draft and stash. Get him in their rehab program and basically, he is their 2020 1st round pick

I would agree if he can get a feeling that someone would use a 1st on him. Then he has some guarantees.

If you took a guy that you know is injured in the 2nd round, i'm pretty sure you plan on giving him a contract of some sorts.

Maybe. If he fell far enough, someone may only offer a 2-way deal. If he fell all the way out, his career is likely over. Nothing is guaranteed.

8 or 7, Garland is who I’m hoping will be there.

Not as explosive as Morant but he has better handles and is arguably (!) a better passer

And he’s a better pure shooter

Morant avg 10 assists. Uses both hands.

Go ahead and make case Garland better passer. Argue it.

A lot of guys are better pure shooters than morant.
The explosiveness means morant can defend a switch to bigger guy.

Garland is tier 4 in tankathon.
Only two pg in round one.

Tankathon has Garland 12 to Celtics, alas.

You, me, and everyone else can give our opinions of Garland (for example you don’t like him but I like him) but if we’re being honest, no one knows how he’ll be as a pro.

We have his high school film and 5 games at Vandy. 5 games against easy opponents. He played well but are those the norm for him or the exception? We are all fooling ourselves if we think we know how Garland will be

It does seem his is greatly benefiting from his lack of play and the extremely small sample. His Ast-TO ratio was pretty terrible and I really want to see his height/wingspan measurements, but he's got a great handle and can shoot off the dribble.

Unfortunately he is also a Klutch client.

Reminds me of Kyrie situation.
I would not have taken Kyrie.
Wrong again.

I don’t like Garland because of his ball dominant nature. I love his skillset but I’m not sure if I’d ever want that type of PG on this team moving forward. I prefer White better As he has ability to go his his elite tools.

Goddamn it

I just found out Cam Reddish is a Klutch client.

He's going to be a solid pro

I don't see where it says Cam is a Klutch client,

So when are we getting this Ferry anouncement? Woj is already pushing Ham for this coach hiring cycle.

My guess would be next week. Make it look like they are really deliberating. Let Ferry call around and see who else he can get for his staff, etc. And yes, Ham will be a candidate for HC, as will Finch.

Those who were hoping for wholesale changes and exciting, big names... I don't think you will be excited by the next few weeks.
