The NHL does not generate huge $ from TV - it depends on attendance and corporate sponsors in most markets. That makes the survivability of a franchise in NO questionable at best. Plus, the NHL (and to a lesser extent the NBA) has not looked favorably on arenas hosting both sports. The "talk" about this has been going on for about 6 mos and apparently involves two La folks who would be minority investors, and are still looking for a majority owner.

Ive become a big Stars fan.

Went to one Brass game back in the day, it was fun being by the glass. I dont think NO can support it.
