What about the MLE? So it's either MLE if possible, vet minimum, or the most likely, Kyrie being Kyrie?
They’re over the second tax apron so they’ve lost their MLE also.
Literally their only option is a minimum contract.

That’s a given.
SOMEONE will take a flyer on a young player at $6m with RFA rights if they can spare the playing time.
What we get back likely won’t be much better than salary relief though.

IMO this is just Durant doing Kyrie a solid to put some fear in Dallas that he may actually leave
Problem for Kyrie and Durant is that Dallas’ capologists likely know what Phoenix’s limits are and that few other teams are sniffing around him.
If he wants to take the minimum, he can go to LA, Phoenix, or elsewhere. But no one is capable of offering him what Dallas does nor would he benefit by taking a shite contract somewhere due to losing his Bird rights.

I wonder if the spurs would give us one of our 2nds back for kira

I could see the Wizards having interest in taking a flyer on someone like Kira. No way is he enough to be the main piece for Gafford, but Kira + Willy salary works for either Delon Wright or Monte Morris and could make sense for both teams depending on how free agency goes.

Kira + JV for Gafford clears a ton of money for a herb extension and gets us more rim protection

It's easy to see Kira developing into a solid backup PG for another team. I absolutely think that Kira has a long NBA career in front of him.
On the Pels, though, he's behind CJ, Jose, and Dyson -- and I don't see him passing any of them up in the rotation. It makes sense to trade him, even if we don't get much back.

A team like Chicago may want him simply because they need guards, especially since Lonzo’s done.

The Lakers will waive Mo Bamba and not pick up the team option on Malik Beasley today, sources told ESPN. LAL plans to stay in contact with both players’ representatives throughout free agency and could find different deal structures for Bamba and/or Beasley’s return to LA
Wtf. Why would they not pick up Beasley's option??

They're trying to sign bruce brown.
Also trying to resign Reaves and Walker

So we have to have a real conversation about Bamba here right?

I don’t necessarily mind Bomba at Willy’s price of $3m.
Trading actual assets for him last season was a nonstarter but paying a cheap veteran contract is doable.

I mean you're guaranteed to choke your way into an embarrassing playoff series loss with Jim.

The question is, what team will trade for him?
I could see Miami sending Duncan and Lowry for him.
