Developing: Washington is in serious talks with two finalists – Miami and Phoenix – on a Bradley Beal trade, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The Suns have emerged as a serious threat for Beal, who holds a no-trade clause.

Have to think Ayton and Paul would be going out for Phoenix, only asset they have to trade is Ayton

Haynes says it would be Paul and Shamet for Beal, so looks like Washington is just trying to dump that salary

It really makes no sense; there are only so many shots to go around.

But if you’re just giving up Paul and Shamet (if true), maybe . . .

Miami’s focus is Portland superstar Damian Lillard with the genuine belief this could be the offseason the veteran guard seeks a change of scenery, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.

Per Chris Haynes, and he’s Dame’s mouthpiece, so he knows something

Wizards won that trade. Getting off Beals contract is a huge win

I’m not sure it can ever really be called a win when you manage to trade away a terrible contract you signed.

Players like beal are such double edges swords. They are great, just not quite elite and their max contract will kill your team. I fear Ingram fits this bill.

Not sure how it fits the bill. You’re comparing a guard to a forward. I rather over pay a forward any day of the week over a guard. Also Beal wants to leave compared to BI wanting to stay.

NBA radio just proposed a Jonas, Nance, Temple trade for Ayton.

Didn’t realize people see Ayton’s value that low.

I truly believe that Jonas at half the price is a much better value than Ayton and his contract.

I assume that deal is only really happening if 1 of Zion/BI are dealt because by year 2 we'd have some serious salary issues. I don't see any world where Ayton as your 2nd max will ever make us an elite team.

I think I said it yesterday, Ayton was losing some of his playoff minutes to Jock Landale.

He’s not a great defender, and no one cares about getting a traditional scoring center who doesn’t play good D.

Don't think the value of the player is low. The contract is a huge problem now especially with the new CBA.

Could be what it is, because both analysts said they wouldn’t do it because Ayton is not worth it
