Don't really like predictions when there is so much unknown information, however, if the news was great the team would simply have said yesterday, all go. Don't think there was a huge setback but the team and player may be in disagreement on the timeline. At this point, a 25% Zion would be helpful at the 4.

Seriously. Why was he not at a home game? Why has the announcement been pushed 1-2 days? Why did Shams talk 1-2 days ago about fitness level and conditioning?
I think they told Zion that he couldn’t play until he loses about 25 pounds to get to his last playing weight and he threw a tantrum and ghosted the team last night.

I mean... it's consistent in that I'm fairly certain no medical updates have ever come out on game days before... they've always done it on an off day

If it was good news, there would be no reason to delay it... even on a game day. It's sounding like they're waiting for the game to pass before announcing some more bad news.

He also wasn't on the bench yesterday. Last time he wasn't on the bench they announced the setback a day or two later.
