Yeah seeing that I just don't see us outbidding other teams.
Griffin has done a great job acquiring picks, but he has failed at another component that gets a star: actually having players teams want.

Are trades allowed now or has the deadline been and gone? And if so... when can they start again?

And to be fair, it's still pretty early in the process. You can consider Hayes a miss at this point, but you don't usually expect to get a star player at 17 where they drafted NAW and we have no idea what we have in Kira yet.
Obviously none of the LAL or MIL picks have conveyed yet either. I guess what I'm getting at is that outside of where they drafted Hayes, it's not unsurprising that they don't have that potential cornerstone to trade.
The real disappointment I think is Lonzo. The hope would have been that he lived up to his potential and he's that centerpiece guy you can flip with multiple picks. But he's just not.

recently signed players can't be traded until February 15th, i think. It's February something, and then the trade deadline is March 25th.

Straight up, the only way I trade for Beal is if we trade Ingram for him. That would be a good swap for both teams. Otherwise, we have 4-5 players (that should be playing minutes in the league), of which 3 need to have the ball. Its a recipe for a disaster.. That isn't a good team..

Only if he demands a trade. If he is frustrated and wants out, we wouldn’t have to give up more than we need to.

I don't see how it would be doable to easily have Beal.
Considering his salary, you must trade Adams, Bledsoe, Ingram or other.

We're gonna have the same issue trying to trade for any high quality guy on his second contract matching salaries
Obviously Bledsoe is expendable and Adams could be for the right guy

I love recency bias. 3 months ago everybody on here would say that Holiday=Beal. So we are going to put together an even bigger package, than what we got for Holiday,to gain Beal. So how exactly are we going to be better?

Beal is a guy who can you get you 60
Holiday can win you a game with his defense.
In the most recent RealGM poll, Beal was voted 17th and Holiday was on pace to come around 32-35th

Beal is a borderline top 25 player.
Holiday is a borderline top 40 player.
I'd say in hard and overall advanced stats.
As a defender, holiday is better, but offensively Beal is elite compared.
