Back when that article came out it said she played a big role as a mom-figure to Zion. I wonder if that ended up being counter-productive to his maturity development.

I find it interesting since she's been such a strong in house support system for him.
I wonder if she wanted do more than what her role was with the team. Maybe she was interested in more than just being a player development coach with an assistant coach title?

Jarron Collins was already #2 and now he's either #2b or #3 with Borrego coming in. I think this is the kind of thing Christian Clark was implying when he said a possible shakeup was coming even though it was just one coach being added. That coach was added to the top of the totem pole and the bench is getting crowded at the bottom. Weatherspoon may need to leave to advance her career.

She turned down a head coaching opportunity in the WNBA last year. We should be happy Fred Vinson hasn't left yet, because upward mobility is not very good with the Pels coaching staff. I wouldn't be surprised if Casey Hill started looking for other opportunities with Borrego coming in.
