Watched the full UCLA/Arizona game. Mautherin from Zona looked the part, made a few 3’s, clearly an excellent athlete. I didn’t see a ton of creating for others or basketball savvy in general. I think he’s more like 10-20 range in the first round for me.
Koloko is a Serious rim protector and lob threat, sneaky good touch, and moves well on the perimeter.
Juzang should be able to score at the nba level. The Danny green comp earlier in the thread is kind of confusing to me. He’s more Jordan Clarkson than Danny Green. Would be fine with picks 30-45 being spent on him.

Ivey looked really good today. 0-6 from 3, but controlled the pace and got to the rim at will. Looked super confident and clearly displayed the ability to be an NBA lead guard. At times he looked like he was playing a different game than everyone else

Ivey is the exact lead guard we need. He just checks every box. I would trade anything outside Zion, BI and Herb to get him.
Hopefully we get some lottery luck and won't have to trade anything for him.

Ivey will thrive in the nba with his speed and spacing

He's starting to separate himself to me. There is just nothing he doesn't do well and most things he does elite.

Pels off day discussion: let’s say we get the fourth pick. Ivey, Chet, and Jabari are taken. Who would y’all go with at the four spot? I’m actually a very big fan of Griffin. I’d pick him over Banchero. Kid shoots lights out, plays solid defense, only 18 still, strong frame. Feels like Duke has really underutilized him this year. Too many guys who are primary ball handlers that like to chuck the ball on that team.

I don't know if it's just me but the few times I've seen ivey i haven't been super impressed.
He doesn't look like a top 4 pick to me.

The only knock I have on Ivey is he can be a bit out of control or take some wild shots. Granted they do go in sometimes. I like him but I can see the hesitation on picking him by some. Thing is it feels like every top pick this year has a glaring flaw in their game. Chet with his weight, Jabari doesn’t like dribbling and going to the rim at all, Ivey sometimes being wild with his shots, Banchero just seem good at everything but not elite. His defense isn’t very good either.
I do like Jabari, Ivey, and Griffins demeanor on the court tho. You can tell these guys are ultra competitive and want to win and Support their teammates

I mean ivey can take the ball to the rim but the games I've seen i haven't seen him take over a game.
His shot isn't great from 3. He just doesn't seem like a top 4 pick to me.
Has he taken over any games you've seen?
I look forward to watching him today and in the tournament. I've only watched like 2 or 3 games of his.

I’ve seen him make some very clutch last minute/second shots but I haven’t watched every game of his. Maybe 8 or so. Haven’t really seen him take over games like you said as well. At least in a way that I’m assuming we both interpret as taking over

I watched a few games from him and I see a young David West.
He's not the biggest, nor the fastest, but he is so fluid with his game. he doesn't need to beat you down low, he has a decent shooting stroke. he won't be a 20/10 double double machine but he's someone who could very well have an 8 year average of 18/8/2 with average defense.
I think he's the pick at 4 if Ivey, Chet, and Smith are taken. The other option is the complete flyer on shaedon sharpe

On what we need in the draft...bear in mind, I think Willie has recently figured out that he actually has more PGs on this team, than he thought he had, and most of the little ones, are expendable.

We are flush with forwards who can run point.

“It’s another layer to Herb’s game,” Willie Green said after yesterday’s practice. “He’s added more and more as the season has progressed. We really liked the fact that he got downhill, making tough plays for his teammates, and it’s something that we believe Herb can really be good at in the future no matter who’s on the floor.”

On top of Point Herb, I would expect one of the Big 3 to be running the 2nd unit as the primary play maker most of the time.

I know Purdue didn't win, but Ivey played incredibly.

Just another game where you see why Chet will go #1.
Gonna be real fun watching Duren go up against Holmgren

Chet, with a bit of added weight...could supply about 3 different "needs" we currently have.
