Thoughts on the Lakers surge/Bucks struggles on future Pels picks and upward trajectory

At the start of the season or even in December if you had told me the Lakers would likely be in the semi finals and the Bucks wouldn't make it past the first round, I'd be shocked.
Considering, that's a likely scenario, what do you think the impacts are to our future picks from these teams?
Also, how do you think it impacts the Lakers ability to re-sign some of their FAs and how it will impact Memphis?
The Grizzlies, with Morant's issues, Brooks' thuggery, etc. have to be pretty despondent in how this is working out.
Do they start making major changes?
What about the Bucks? I mean, losing Giannis for a game and a half hurts but there's no world they should be losing to this trash arse Heat team.
What do they do moving forward?

I posted this specifically because this board is dead minus arguing about your trash threads.

The key for Lakers was they made excellent trades at the deadline. They will get them deep in playoffs. Pelicans pro dragged feet when they could have been handed Durant. Wind up instead getting a Spurs wash out. It is what it is. Perhaps Griff. goes for the big swing this summer.

The Grizz will be fine, although they need more big depth.
The Bucks also will be fine, it's just really hard to win a title, even with an MVP on your team. The Bucks window for collapse is near the end where we have the swap and remaining pick. Will Jrue/Middleton be too over the hill and overpaid for the Bucks to be good? Will Giannis have an injury or leave for greener pastures. It wasn't as good of a bet as all of the Lakers picks, but it's still got a chance to pay off.
I want the Lakers to make the WCF and believe in all the guys they traded for enough to overpay to keep them all and remain dependent on LeBron and Davis to be the star power. Those 2 missing a bunch of games is the bet Griff made and the odds of that happening will only keep improving as they get older the next 2 years.
Hell, the Lakers winning another title wouldn't even be the worst thing for us. That will put even more miles on LeBron and Davis and take pressure off them to win next year. Sure the Lakers fans will be insufferable, but that's normal for them, and all we really care about is the pick.

I still don’t think the lakers can win it but I wouldn’t e shocked anymore.
I still think GS, Boston and maybe Denver and Phoenix can beat them.

Come on now. In no way, shape, or form was Durant an option for the Pels

Those 2 missing games? The irony- Zion looks like paper thin glass compared to old man LeBron and supposedly street clothes AD.

Yes, they are that injury prone, which has zero to do with how injury prone the Pels players are. LeBron has played 55 or fewer games 4 of the last 5 years, including 55 this year. The last 3 years Davis has played 36, 40, and 56 games.
If you weren't so blinded by your rabid pessimism about the Pels you wouldn't waste our times with such absurd statements.

2024:
We can swap pick with Milwaukee bucks
We can have the LA Lakers pick or defer to 2025 (unprotected)
- Unless Giannis is injured, this is final year of -Middleton, 2nd to last year of Holiday
- Another year of Lebron & AD - healthy and they'll be fine. We should defer another year unless its a lotto pick.
2025:
Deferred Lakers pick (unprotected)
Top 4 Milwaukee pick (otherwise goes to Portland->Detroit->NY Knicks)
- Still has Holiday & Giannis; I imagine Middleton will stay for cheaper. We'll lose this pick
- AD & LeBron's final year, so if 2024 is lotto - take it and move on.
2026:
Milwaukee swap
- Final year of Giannis
2027:
Unprotected milwaukee pick
- Potentially a REALLY good pick all things considered.

Really? People are praying for Zion to even play 40 games a year as a young buck while bashing guys in the league over a decade(s). Anybody would have taken the number of games that injury prone LeBron and AD played over the past 4 years instead of what we got.

This is one of the stupidest things I’ve read on here. Durant didn’t want to come here for one. Suns are at the end of their window with CP3 so they made a splash.
And with Zions fat arse not being assured of playing, no reason to go all in for this year. Outside of CJ, no Pels players are close to their prime.
Still have the Lakers pick that can be had two years from now. Can’t see lebron and AD making the next two years injury free even older but yiu never know.

Quit your denial. Take your L’s like a man. By the way that is another L for you for not getting me banned. I was going to shut up too and take my seat on the bench. You keep on coming some I’m going to keep on punching . All you had to do was shut up. You can’t even follow directions.

I can't imagine ever letting it happen then admitting to another dude that I let him own me to THAT level you just admitted.

They already made runs at Mikal (rumored 4 1sts and Brooks)and Og to a lesser extent. I think they will continue to be aggressive this offseason.
As to the Lakers - they were never supposed to be bad with AD/Lebron healthy. The lotto ticket is if AD gets hurt which he frequently does. They saved themselves at the deadline from prior incompetence, but if injuries hit, they could easily be high in the lotto.
The Bucks trade was a bit of a gamble that Giannis wouldn’t re-up, but also those picks are a Giannis injury away from hitting big. Aging Jrue, Middleton, and Brook put a lot of pressure on Giannis to the point that maybe Bud won’t be able to protect him as much from a rest perspective.
Basically if either AD or Giannis suffer a lengthy injury, those picks/swaps are gold.

Adams/Clarke injuries are pretty huge. Ja hasn't been 100%. Don't get me wrong, I'm not convinced a Ja Morant led team can really win you a title, but obviously you can't just blow it up.
I think they had bad health luck, they can let Brooks go, and they still have if I recall a shite ton of available money before hitting the tax, so they can try to get the next disgruntled star this offseason or next year's deadline, and that's their best route to contend.

Thanks for this htran, I always lose track. Do the Pels have all their own first-rounders in these seasons?
