Jake Fischer thinks that Mathurin and Daniels will both be gone by 8, based on his intel.
Sooooo...
It could be a Sochan/Sharpe decision (or trade).

This is how I feel about it too. They obviously know more about the situation than me, so if they draft Sharpe (or even Griffin), I’ll be okay with it.

I'm also going to wait a few minutes because as so often happens, a team picks a guy, then you find out 3 minutes later its for another team and a trade is involved.

Definitely, I remember thinking the Pels drafted Noel.

will be interesting to see if they even have a choice of the mathurin/daniels/sharpe trifecta at 8. seems likely only one of them will be available. kind of a no-lose situation (relatively, any of these guys could bust).
one of mathurin/daniels/sharpe
sochan
griffin
davis (?)
dieng (?)
just stay at 8 if they arent trading up and take one of those guys. the team as currently built has some flexibility and some versatility to accomodate just about anyone who can play and isnt a douchebag

Sochan, Share, or the dark horse pick Ousmane Dieng.

That was a weird night.
“We got Noel?”
“We got Jrue and a pick for Noel?”
“Wait, we got Jrue for Noel and next year’s pick?!?”

Dell Demps was the best GM in the league for about 2 minutes

These days, a $5m expiring deal might get you some Starbucks. Probably not significant picks or vets capable of plugging the holes on that roster.

It's like that's part of Klutch's pitch. Sign with us and you'll get paid and you don't even have to play!

What would be the point of not publicly suspending him? If he did anything criminal we would've heard about it. He ain't Jordan and the Rockets aren't the Bulls so no reason to keep it hush hush.

The team sucked and Wall was probably not that broken up about getting paid 45 mil to smoke weed and go the strip club. The league only cared about shutting down a guy on a bad team once and it was us.

I think the big difference is that Houston was already pretty awful and wasn’t going to improve if Wall showed up anyway.
It wasn’t like he was AD or Simmons who could majorly impact games and was a TV draw. No one was going to watch the Rockets anyway, regardless of a guy who has been pretty much unplayable for 4 years.

Sharpe would run his mouth and cry to leave as soon as he can. Listen to his interviews, he already thinks he’s the best player out there. He would be a baby about coming off the bench.

in the last five seasons combined he's played in 113 games total, and been paid over $160MM, with $47MM more coming next year

[NBA Today] The Trail Blazers have decided not to go down the path of trading the #7 overall pick, they are targeting picking Sharpe from Kentucky. Other tidbits from the show today: Keep an eye on the Wizards at 10, talks with the Pacers about Brogdon, could look to take one of their players and move around. Wouldn’t surprise Windhorst if they were involved in a trade where they either picked up a guard for their pick or swapped their pick with another team potentially the Pelicans for Graham who the Pelicans are shopping.
