Wait, so they think we're going to trade Zion, Dyson, AND #14 for Ja? This is a non-starter without at least one first coming back to us.

The Season of Wishcasting is upon us.

It’s going to be crazy when Morant misses 40 games due to a suspension and still plays 20 more games more than Zion next season.

Then we won’t even have the opportunity to trade Zion for NBA YoungGunBoy.

that's awful - in fun way.

nba used to count total # rebounds for rebound champ. not per game avg.
thus accounting for availability.

the crux of the trade is guessing health of zion over the years left on his deal. the proposed trade values
1. morant
2. Trae
3 big boy. deeply discounted due to past health issues and the lengthy lengthy recoveries. obviously ATL wins the deal if Zion plays 60 at full strength each of three years and plays 20 playoff games and no issue.
4. Daniels.
5. pick 14.

Look bro. I know you are still salty about a Rui post from a month ago, which I’m over and thought you were too until like 3 days ago

But if you truly took into account every post I’ve made about Zion over the past 2-3 years, you’d realize I simply reached the end of my rope with the guy this season. I was overwhelmingly positive and patient with the kid for 3 years. Defended his weight. Defended his mental health. Etc.

But at this point, after failing to rehab properly for about the 4th time in 4 years, yeah I’m team trade Zion. And yeah, I’m about using 4 years of history as a guide vs blind hope.

Trust me, we are all well aware. No one wants to read Zion melts from you, or anyone else for that matter, over and over and over again in any thread that might even be remotely related to Zion for the next several months until the next season starts. He's not getting traded this offseason and there's no reason to even ponder it right now, much less make stupid posts and threads about it nonstop. If Zion truly doesn't give a shite and fails to take his body or conditioning seriously yet again after a 2nd major injury in a row, you won't have a poster left on this board arguing against you, I promise.

Not really a valid excuse to be insufferable while calling others insufferable(for reasons you stated that weren't even correct, but I digress) but you do you.

Given that others are also posting about it and not just me, that ain't the reason.

It's also pretty weak to call me out then whine about it when I do the same to you.

I called you out specifically in the Rui thread bc you fight with everyone to the death about everything all the time. Just gets to be tiresome whether someone is right, wrong or 50/50.

Are there more people in the wrong occasionally, including myself, sure?

The only reason why I engaged w you in this thread is the “insufferable” quote.

I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings a month ago. I truly thought we were over it. We have had decent interactions in other threads. So I thought it was water under the bridge for the most part until recently.

In terms of my role in this thread. I just chimed in to offer support for Celticdog. He’s one of my favorite posters on here.

There was a time on this board where 90% of the board was celebrating a Mardi Gras float depicting Zion as gluttonous and fat. I was one of the few at that dark time to actually still be in his corner.

I’m just not there anymore. I just prefer to support players that seem like they care more than it appears he does. Apologies if it’s reached the point of being “insufferable.”

The issue is that's not why you called me out. You said in that thread why you called me out, and it was wrong.

You specifically said it was because I act like a jackass when someone disagrees with me, and that is 100% wrong, it was wrong in that thread as well. I can go round and round for pages debating with someone. But they'll always be the first to take a personal shot. And yea, I'll absolutely fire back once that happens.

The issue, as I stated in that thread was that you blamed me for something the other poster did and you gave him a pass for it because you agreed with him about Rui. It is what it is, but that IS exactly what happened.

So yea, I'm gonna fire back at you for calling me out when you were wrong to do so, why would you expect me not to?

I am sincerely trying to deescalate things, not 100% re hash/litigate every month old post from a Rui Hachimura thread.

I’m insufferable with the Zion stuff lately. Got it. I can accept that.

I called you a jackass in the other thread. My bad. I also complimented you in that same post. Believe I also called you “obviously intelligent”. I try to be fair. And to be fair, my screen name is 3 Piece “Spicy”, not 3 Piece “Mild”, so I might fire the occasional shot on a message board when frustrated.

This Pels season and the Saints season’s were both a damn train wreck, so I do admittedly let the spice get a little overheated here and there.

Have a good one.

Ja’s game is built on athleticism as much if not more so than Zions. He’s a better shooter but that’s not saying much. He’s not a better defender.

morant is a much better defender.
and being a better shooter is a big deal.
morant improves his form every season.

of course morants a fool but for basketball zion is only big. he has no skills at all.

morant may or may not ever become a model citizen but nearly everything he does on the court is better than zion.
blocks
steals
ft
3 pt
assists
zion isn't even that much better inside as morant is nifty as Tatum going to the hole.

they both averaged 26.
morant 5.9 boards
zion 7
morant 8 assists
zion 4.5

morant makes defensive plays with the game on the line.
zion doesn't.

I didn't design the trade.
in nfl you can have result contingencies.
in nba can new orleans say in this deal, we get a first in 2025 off memphis if morant misses even one game due to new thug videos or an incident at 2 am.
