James Harden did a pretty good job of that.

Also depends on what level of the rebuild they are at.

Holiday wasn't great in the two matchups against the Spurs last year, FYI.

So now we picked up Jrue specifically to stop Tony Parker; an aging, over the hill point guard.

You made the argument that Parker would destroy Holiday.

My only point was that Jrue is an automatic upgrade over any PG on the team or in the draft.

You must be joking. Jrue is NOT a top 5 PG in the NBA.

Literally 3 players on the 11-12 Rockets that were on the 12-13 squad.

My point is that Parker will still be effective through the duration of Holliday's contract, which disputes the claim that Tony Parker's age has anything to do with his elite position in the league.

For starters, maybe getting ourselves in a position to pick someone in the 2nd round that will actually play?

I mean the kid may play, but some pieces obviously need to be moved in order for that to happen.

Sorry, if I don't automatically assume that a 35 yr old PG will still be one of the best in the league.

Omer Asik was the most important player on the Rockets.

Dude what are you not getting about this? By the time he is 35, Jrue's k will be up. Its the time of 31-35 that is relevant in this discussion. Parker just brought his team to the finals. If you think that over the next couple of years he will drop off, I would like to know how you are jumping to that conclusion.

Wut

Parsons, Asik, Lin were prettyyyyyy instrumental

Anyways, these arguments are stupid. Top 10 pg or whatever is so subjective. Top 5 is down right silly. Better than tony Parker? Lulz

Well, if you wanna go by win shares 3 out of the top 5 Houston players were new.

The other 2 in the top 5 (Parsons and Greg Smith) are in their second year in the league.

What's so funny? Did I say best scorer? No.

Asik was their best rebounder by far (averaged 12 rebounds in 30 minutes) and anchored their defense. When Asik was on the floor they had the somewhere around the 12th ranked defense in terms of effiency. When Asik was off the floor they had one of the worst
