Assuming Zion actually recovers from his sinus infection, what does it look like?

CJ
Herb
BI
Zion
Theis

Jose
Green
Hawk
JRE
Missi ?

That bench scoring is ROUGH. Does it force them to play players like Reeves, Boston, and Karlo?

I think Willie just needs to adjust rotations to ensure he has two of CJ, BI or Zion on the floor at all times. Could possibly get away with having only one of them on the floor if Hawk is hot.

Good news is Trey is aiming to be back before the end of the month, so only likely to be out the next 4 games.

Didn't he say yesterday that he had just started running?

Willie isn't going to do this this early in the season. He has never operated like this as far as I can recall.

It's pretty similar to last years team. But you'll rarely see this bench in for extended periods of time. CJ, BI, and Zion will stagger in their substitutions by Willie and we'll have 1 of those guys out there with Jose/Hawk/Missi/whoever on a regular basis.

It was Dyson, Naji, Nance who were part of second group last year. They werent really offensive catalysts anyways.

Trey will be back soon as well.

Edit: The moral of the story is, we'll be fine as long as we chill out on the injuries, but hey its the New Orleans Pelicans. We can't have nice things.

Looking at Dyson's game 1 numbers and I just sigh aloud purely because it'd be nice to see his potential offensive growth to go with his solid defensive talents.

You gotta hope Hawk and Green's game 1 numbers are reflective of what they can produce. But imagine the stagger of CJ/BI/Zion will occur more now too.

He was never going to have the same opportunity here with Herb starting ahead of him. He is going to benefit a lot have Ice Trae in the back court with him.

Good win last night, complete downer with DJM injury. Even undermanned, Pels showed what they want to be. The offense flowed and importantly forced numerous turnovers. Pels should acquire a 'Starter Replacement' for DJM, a pure point with good defensive instincts. I'd rather Pels resign Elfrid Payton and start him than use the collective of CJ, BI, or Zion. I'll take the dropoff in talent rather than reverting back to old playstyle.

Starters - Payton, Herb, BI, Zion, Missi
Rotation - CJ, Hawk/Jose, Green, JRE/Theis

I was really upset when we shipped Dyson away and I think he’s going to be great, but I concede I think he’ll develop better over in Atlanta. Truly rooting for that kid, his demeanor is very very rare nowadays. He already looks a lot more confident over there, hit a pull up 3 and abused Cam Thomas on a post move. 5 steals is just another day at the office for Dys.

I liked Dyson too, but it was his ball handling that prompted the trade. Pretty evident what Pels look like with a non hybrid point.
