Ok lets use their words you think Nike wants an athlete that cant meet conditioning requirements???!

if he could shoot,
he cant because he's never fit enough to practice jump shot or jump hook. no jumping.
it's important to remember he has no game.
now we know he's healed.
good. he will pass a physical.
now deal him for a starter and a 14% chance at scoot, miller, wemby or the better twin.

Wow with Griffin maybe we can be at .555 next year lol. Meanwhile Kings probably on top of the division lol

You're being a little emotional here.
Since Griffin was hired, we've gone from .417, .431, .439, to .512 this year.
yippie!!! we had our first winning season in 4 years with him, and 3 head coaches. He sounds like a weiner.

Honestly hes our best point guard which just shows you how screwy our roster is.

Lol the winning percentages are like going from a D- to D+ but you know good job Griffin.

Yeah Zion and co. may think they want a bigger market team…but they would be getting put through the ringer if he were in NY
Posted on 4/11/23 at 4:04 pm to BilJ
Maybe but a bigger market team with a more involved owner wouldnt let Griffin force these stupid updates and training metrics. The owner would basically just say screw the metrics just play him.
Posted on 4/11/23 at 4:09 pm to Pels_Yaz
Also, huge missed opportunity by our lame media to ask a pointed question instead of vague questions regarding metrics and how do you feel mentally?
Example: Zion, where would you say your current level of conditioning is as of today? Could you theoretically play 35 minutes on Wednesday or in a potential playoff game if you were able to clear the mental hurdles of recovering from your injury/“feeling like Zion”.
Ask something direct. Our local media absolutely fumbled the bag hard today.
It is very possible to ask a pointed question about conditioning without being a dick.

Lets be honest they do that everyday. They buy the bs and dont ask tough questions. Why Griffin can get away with selling his BS to us.

Never said we should be content with that, but it's also definitely not a "disaster" especially when you look at the decade before Griff came here and the current trend we have right now of improving every year he's been here.

Do you think this whole non transparency with medical updates, training staff issues, 3 head coaches, failure to do anything with his stash of picks- has nothing to do with Griffin? The franchise lies to the media/public and sells the play-in as a great accomplishment. Griffin walked into a golden situation and honestly messed it up.

We got the number 1 pick via the lottery and a Bag for trading AD.
We also theoretically should’ve gotten a bag for Jrue. Tyrese Haliburton went pick 12 in that draft. You can’t tell me that we didn’t get at least one offer of the 12th pick or better for Jrue.
So Griff fumbled that trade.
Despite having a generational player and a plethora of assets, we have only marginally improved year to year.
Memphis built a much better, winning team with far less assets. The Griffin era has been a failure if you consider the opportunity cost that he has consistently left on the bone in many deals/trades/draft choices.
He’s been mediocre at best as a pure move maker. And he’s been god awful at managing our best player. So on the whole, it’s tough to say that he’s really done a positive job in his 4 years here, even though our win % has technically marginally improved.

who is no threat to shoot.
he's not a "power guard".
he's a big guy with no back to the basket game so getting him the ball anywhere but 3 feet from the basket does nothing.
the one trick pony drive isn't proof he has game.
its proof he has no game.
ps. I'm fed up with him.
May he flourish. elsewhere. I've got a divorce.
so forgive me. I'm disgusted with the news hes actually healthy but not up for playing a must win game.

I would like to hear Charles Barkley comment on this soon.
Posted on 4/11/23 at 4:36 pm to 3PieceSpicy
The thing about Jrue was that he requested the trade. He chose the team he wanted to go to and we wanted to do good by him.
But besides that, Griffin fumbled hard and lucked out on a few. Imagine us with fricking Hardaway/Lowry with their contracts.
