for the games he was targeted much less this year and the offense is different.

I would trade for him. Conditional 3.

Yea. They absolutely will. First round guy, 1200 one year, then played through a ton of injuries. 3 years of cost controlled deal.

I consume more jags content than saints due to my kids. There is NO chance anyone is getting him for a 3.

No idea why they are trading him when he’s been very productive for them as their #1 WR. He’s better as a really good #2 that can stretch the field. I would think to get BT that Jacksonville would want a 1st or 2nd round pick for him. If they agree to deal him for something like a 2nd and a 6th then I gladly do that deal.

Still have 3 years left on rookie deal. It’s more that the Jags are already loaded with a very high pick in Hunter, a very good vet in Jakoby, and a seeming absolute STUD in Parker Washington. Add in a good young TE end in strange.

Didn't the jags just come out and say that hunter would play the majority of next yr at corner?

Lawrence targeted him as much this season as last. The thing is though that Mac Jones peppered him with double-digit targets every game down the stretch last year after Lawrence got put on IR.

One good year won’t net a first round pick

He played pretty good coming out but has been going down hill since. Jags has some studs that are just better than him.

He was their #3 this year behind 6th rd guy Parker Washington and Jacobi Myers

That said the Jags don’t have the wiggle room to deal him. Hunter isn’t going to play WR much this coming year

Would def solve our wr problem. We could go o line or defense at 8 and actually be sitting pretty going into next season. Don’t know how we could afford him and Olave. If I had to have just one I’d choose Olave all day.

Why would they trade him on a rookie contract. And why would you want to give up high draft capitol to get him? Because he's a Tiger. WE need to get out of the thinking of trading away draft picks.

Not really. You get a young, proven player on a rookie contract. He'd be a great compliment to Olave, and would probably still cost less than whoever you would draft with #8. If you give up a 3rd/4th, you end up with a definite starter instead of a guy that hopefully makes the team

He played well with the jags backup qb

He has not played well with tlaw

They need to either figure out the disconnect or harvest value as tlaw isn’t leaving

Right now I think that’s still a late first or early 2 because you’d save like 100m in cap if you get 3 years of the pro bowler at a rookie deal

Disconnect is Trevor Lawrence got his shite pushed in by LSU and BTJ is LSU I'll take him here in a heartbeat, any saints fan would be stupid not to want him

Don't do that to other teams. You may want to do actual meaningful trades in the future.

He would be the top WR in this years draft.

A scenario to consider:

If the Saints pick something other than WR in round 1, would it be worthwhile to trade our 2R pick for Thomas? How about a 2R pick in 2027? I am not nearly As plugged in as some are to what is considered a reasonable value, but one way to look at is: would the WR we might pick in 2R be likely to better than Thomas? He is young enough for me not to view age as much of a factor.
