Well it's a good thing he's on a cheap contract next year compared to what he brings.

He needs to tighten up on discipline in setting the edge on runs, he made that mistake a lot earlier this season but not so much lately.
Pass rush there’s been a few where after his initial speed failed he then stalled & basically switched to containment instead of perusing a sack. But every DE does that time ti time, even Cam.
He also has given tremendous effort on a ton of plays this season, against pass & the run. He’s also taking a good bit of chips/double teams as well.
He’s been a very good player for us this season, still has room for improvement, and he’s young enough to be able to improve

I am not a Chase Young hater... he fills a need on this team. But, when you watch him on every play, it seems that he and Cam Jordan are just sack hunters. If there is no chance for a sack, Chase does not seem to put in the effort or show any gap discipline.

He’s had a good two game stint. I’m very happy for him. He hustles and he’s on a reasonable contract.
I just don’t think he’s a guy you can count on to be a consistent game impacting pass rusher. If he comes out and plays every game like today and last week, I will gladly say I’m wrong. But look at those earlier games against Stafford and Cousins and before the last two weeks.

The entire defense weren't playing great earlier. New DC, new system that took awhile to adjust to.
