So then tank and draft a qb moron.

we have too much talent, and money invested in that talent, to "tank"

and if your theory is correct and winston sucks, won't we have the option to draft realtively high next year?

so even if you're right, you're wrong

This is the conundrum that is the self-inflicted wound of our roster. We have far too much talent on this team to waste with our current shitty an situation.

And to get a quality quarterback it would cost us too much talent.

worst case is that we have a 1-year crunch (which we'd have anyway unless Jameis is the real deal) then have room next year

of our realistic options, Jameis is the only one who can potentially keep the Saints in title contention in 2021

You really believe a group of seasoned veterans is going to purposely shite the bed for a year in hopes that some hyped young rookie gets drafted to save their asses? Is that what you do in life? Hope others pull you to the top? Do you have no understanding of a professional athlete's pride?

What's so funny?

Watson/Wilson aren't realistic

Jameis has all the potential in the world. I don't expect a super bowl but it's possible if he can max his potential.

yeah anyone who hates the winston deal is a certified retard...

there's quite literally no downside to it at all. I could understand the melts had we signed him to a multi year deal but we ate a big W on this one.

Still prefer Taysom? Great they can still compete for the job because both are on one year deals.

Think he's going to suck? Fine him sucking puts us in position to draft a successor and he's gone at no cost to us.

If you just hate the guy just say that because that would be the only thing to dislike about this deal

Please list me examples of NFL teams that have made organizational decisions to tank a season. It also is no guarantee of success even if you get a QB.

He was supposed to do that all by himself? His line and coach were awful.

Well one thing for sure the deep ball is back in play with JW at the helm

AKA a 3rd down punt.

Maybe a 1st down punt.
