These guys aren’t bad players, but you want to build your WR rook like a basketball starting lineup.

Steve Largent, Antonio Brown, Wes Welker, Joey Galloway, Gary Clark, Tyreek Hill, Steve Smith, Odell Beckham, Wayne Chrebet, Jaylen Waddle, Julian Edelman, DeSean Jackson, T.Y. Hilton. Are all listed below 6’, if the talent is there, you take the player.

I know Branches and others are not very tall. But, 5’9” for the Ms state receiver is really small. I prefer receivers 6’0 at least unless they are special ( Tyreek Hill) as an example.

5’9 just feels different. A lot of 5’10 and 5’11 guys have produced over the years but most of those 5’9 and under guys that have come through rarely make much of an impact at receiver and just feel so limited due to their small catch radius. Steve Smith and Welker are exceptions. 5’11 is good enough. 5’10 you got to have a little something extra that sets you apart. Accuracy of your qb also plays a big part. Welker had Brady.

It’s not only the height, it’s the weight too. Branch is 177lb, Burks 180. The closest to them in height/weight over the last few drafts

Rondale Moore
Andy Isabella
Elijah Moore
Greg Dortch
Malik Washington

For comparison Wes Welker was 195 @ 5’8”

Cooper jr might be the most overlooked dude in the draft

I don’t really see how Cooper is being mocked so far behind Tate, Tyson etc. Good route tree, good vs man and zone, YAC, size and speed are good. I think Cooper and Germie Bernard are nice high floor guys we will consider.

This little crop of small guys are interesting too.

Then you have the taller guys who showed out - Jeff Caldwell, Lance, Sturdivant, Brazzell, Hurst, Bell

Probably unrealistic to come away with two of these guys but it would be nice

Steve Smith was a unicorn. He was drafted 25yrs ago, how many Steve smiths have there been since lol?

Steve Smith was drafted as a return specialist.

Just like Thomas.

Thomas will end up being a really good player and we just sent our return specialist packing.

That’s why I like Zavion, and he has shown an ability to do a lot of things out of the backfield as well.

40 times are flashy but Aaron Anderson is a better receiver than all of those guys. Would love to get him in a later round. He'd start in the slot day 1

I wouldn’t mind Aaron Anderson either, he ran a 4.41, which is still really great. He’s pretty good for YAC as well

Man give me some of those short guys with weight on them. I sure miss watching guys like Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles run.

Running backs are different. There isn’t as much of a disadvantage and in some aspects it helps them sneak through the los.
